I got myself a Caberg Hyper X helmet. Internal housing for the comm system. Built quality superior than Nolans. Mine is a hybrid full face, meaning the chin guard can be removed totally if using as half face.

Priced lower than Nolan. There's a review in SW forum.

Eh, sorry sorry...mine helmet is not AGV blade, its CItylight too..

The good thing bout AGV Citylight is that its very light (Lighter den caberg n Nolan)

The bad thing is that @ 140km/hr> the visor will vibrate like want to explode :( (Bad choice for speedster)

I initially wanted to get the nolan n43e air but was hesitant cause It's not approved..then i saw this agv citylight and caberg..ended up went for citylight cause I never heard about caberg before

Anyways I regreted my choice and went down yesterday to ask if I could top up and change to nolan n43e air. I was rejected and the reason given was agv cannot change to nolan. If i want change to other agv can..I was not convinced lor to be honest, I think they just don't want to do it.

So i asked how much I need to top up if i want to change to agv blade air-net. He quoted me $330..I don't know how much was the price but i did a check online and the price is like at most 280ish. I immediately felt that he wanted to make use of this chance to "kah" me so i said I will stick with this citylight..

The above opinion is my own and I didn't think they value me as a long term customer..they probably don't care coz they are so famous but i would rather let chong aik earn my $$ next time I change helmet :D

So far very happy with my Caberg hyperX. Wind noise is alright at 130-140kmh, no need ear plugs. With that I believe using the bluetooth intercom should have no prob with noise. Ventilation is fine as there re 2 vents.

Slightly over $300, depends on how friend you are with the sales guy.

When I was on stint in USA I could easily get SHOEIs, AGVs, ARAIs for half the price in SG. HJCs are considered chap-pa-Lang usually given away free.......

SG market is small, margin gotta be higher to make reasonable profits.

Hi..I didn't like agv citylight because the ventilation sucks and 1/2 of the back of my head is exposed when I wear it.. And when the visor is closed fully, it is too near to my face and I'm breathing a lot of fog onto the visor..

Sorry for this diversion of topic guys, but my keys juz got stuck in the ignition for no apparent reasons. Tried pulling out hard but it juz wont budged. Dont dare to try any harder afraid the key might break. No choice so rush down to my bike shop at around 1710hrs and was referred to chief mechanic. He said first time encounter this problem so since bike is under warranty, he referred me to agent instead. Rushed down to Mah reached abt 1735hrs and was referred to Mr Chew. Nice old man indeed and after some discussion with 2 of his senior mechanics, he told me to either leave the bike or come again tomorrow morning coz they need to opened up the ignition and it is a long process. Decided to ride back home and send tomorrow morning instead. Hopefully nobody hijack my bike tonight. Now have to take urgent leave tommorow to settle this problem. So sian...By the way remembered reading in past threads that some of our bros here too experienced the same thing. Could this be a batch defect? A gentle reminder, better be gentle with the ignition bros, gd luck....

errmm..your bike vibrate or your helmet bro..lol..for me @ 140km.hr my helmet vibrate like going to explode...hehehe

the maxsym should be no problem reaching >130km/hr bro, coz i tried till 160km.hr before in an attempt to race with toyota wish!

hehehehe...you try check your tyre pressure bro :thumb:

P/S If in windy condition (wind pusing you), our bike will struggle to even reach 100km.hr & If perfect condition, our bike can easily go up to 120km.hr

My tyre pressure F30 R36 bro..Could it be the box?

Hit 150km/h.... I think need to do something abt the windshield... Taking too much of the wind... Bad aerodynamic... Hehee

Yeah think the windshield is the culprit too....

.. Tot of tilting back a bit of the windsheild a bit more to 45 degree angle..But need some spacers for the tilt n long screws to mount back the windsheild ....But must be careful not to interfere with the OEM side mirror turning angle..Hehehehe... Must try first.. Will let u guys know the result..

its like a sail on a boat..hehhee...but what i notice is that if the wind pushes you i.e windy condition, the bike got alil bit of hard work to do to even reach 100km.hr

That's probably why they changed the windshield design for those new maxsym released in taiwan. Maybe if those released in Malaysia later this year have the same design we can fix and try.

I just hit 3000km mileage last night after 1 and half mths.

I also feel It's difficult to hit 120km/hr. Need to throttle quite a lot. But i feel better power and response during the early morning and late at night. Maybe It's because of the cooler weather affecting the engine heat?

When travelling at 120km/hr, my bike seems like It's having a bit of floating feeling although the bike is already so heavy. Maybe I need to lesser the tyre pressure coz my weight is only 60. And also maybe my topbox?

So far i haven't go pass 120km/hr yet or at most 5.5k RPM. So unable to experience the "surge" of power some maxsym guys here claim to have experienced at 6k RPM caused by our maxsym SCTS engine technology. Will try out when i have the chance..

As for power and overtaking wise. When cruising at 90km/hr, will need to squeeze 1/4 more throttle to overtake to around 110km/hr. Overtake in around 4 seconds back to the middle lane.

Send my bike to Mah @ 0915hrs for ignition repair and went home. Received call at abt 1415hrs informing that no stock for parts so have to indent from Taiwan. Ask how long for the parts to arrived was told ASAP. Ask what is the problem with the ignition reply was maybe I twist the key too hard thats why the parts 'break loose' but since bike is under warranty, so FOC just need to wait for the parts to arrive. For the meantime, my present ignition was modified so that I am able to pull out my key, only that I cant handle lock and opened the seat from the ignition. So sian...now must take leave again when the parts arrive, which I think will take another 2 weeks time???
