Price check on Vespa Gt200

Hi I'm new to biking and I am thinking of acquiring vespa GT200 for my first bike.

So there a couple of question I considering before buying 1st hand or 2nd hand.

 

 

Just wanna ask about this bike pricing over the past few years has it dropped alot?

And is it easy to resell this bike?

What the price range for 1st hand and 2nd hand now???

Hi Kenneth, the vehicle depreciation in value for this particular model hasn't drop significantly. But however.... value drops as the number of years that the COE may have been left with. If i am not wrong... Piaggio Singapore does not carry anymore Vespa GT200 or rather I should say that it has stopped it's production since a year or 2 ago. The Vespa remains as a scooter which has a pretty niche fan base in the market though..... well maybe if you decided you purchase one you might not even wanna sell it! It's a vintage worth a keep...

Thanks for the advice I really like the design just worry about I'm paying too much for a bike as I'm new to the bike market.

a 6 - 7 yr old GT200 may cost between $3.5k - $4.5k. i have not seen any GT200 priced lower than $4k before. GT200 is a v nice ride. the pick up can really surprise others. becoz of the GT200 experience, i am getting the GTS300 in 2012.

 

GT200 is utterly reliable if it is well taken care of. in fact, regular oil filter, engine oil and gear transmission oil change will make the bike last

if i'm not wrong, gt200 is not longer in production hence i'm kinda worried about the spare parts.

GT200 shares the same engine as runner and liberty 200.

 

spares are easily obtainable from tong aik! i am surprised when i was there to purchase items like badges, side trims, floor mat, windshield etc!

yea servicing for GT200 isn't a worry, I must say this ride is so stable when going over the hump you really need to slow down as much lol
