Best cleaning agent for chain

Hey guys... i know this question has been posted many times before. but those are old posts. so i wanna get the latest replies. What is the best cleaning agent for the chain? i have the lube.

Kerosene . If not WD40, RP7 lubricants work as well and less messy .

I'd usually use WD40 to get rid of the dirt and clean it up. After that use PJ-1 for lubrication.

wd40 will penetrate the chain and eat the bearings. may not be evident over short period. but extend periods will rust.

 

either get kerosene, diesel or those commercial chain cleaning spray from motordiam.

 

i haven't gotten to any of those, i use newspaper wipe and spray.

gt85 can do a decent job

Kerosene but it's not convenient to store. So I usually use the kerosene based WD40. More important is lub after clean.
