Anyway. The set up going to change soon. Cause my topbox bracket broke on my last trip and I have to throw the box away. Had ordered a new sets of brackets awaiting delivery and will be enforcing it when it arrives. Plus I ordered the outback trekker. So will look abit different. Hopefully you can ask for a topbox rack too so as can save some $$$. They will mount it for you so don't have to modified yourself. If you ordering the trekker from Givi, don't have to get their base plate as it is quite ex. $80+. See garage sale is anyone selling or Carousel. Unless you want new bike and everything new then different case...

whats the green color thingy on the handle of your journey panniers? some kind of clip or light?

 

yes, i think first year best to get comprehensive as you never know what can happen. after which go for 2nd/3rd party onwards.

Interesting... Where did you get it from? Can you share link? This is much cheaper and easier to mount as compared to additional lightings.

Wow, speedway haven't secure a COE for you? I won't be surprised if the COE cross the 6000$.

 

But then again that few hundred wouldn't really matter for a Class2 Bike.

Yupz. COE now is $5800.00. Need to top up $800.00. Speedway try to bid at $5000.00.

 

Tuesday will be going down to the bikeshop to find out more updates about my booking.

Actually, some bike shop already have old COE on hand. It's just a matter if they want to give you or other customers. This I saw myself when my friend bought a bike from Bike Production. He goes down, fill up form, 1 hours time collect bike....

COE have a "lifespan" of 6 months from successful bidding, after which it must be registered to a vehicle.

 

So nvm last bidding, maybe a few biddings ago also have. For the bike shops, the cost of COE is averaged out, while they earn further profit from charging customers based on the latest premiums.

$26k OTR? Speedway sold $35k with OEM panniers and etc... IMO Loois might be a better deal. Cause touring shield, crash bar and aftermarket panniers also looks nice and there are many to choose from and not as ex as OEM...

 

You might want to check with ASPhoon, bike pro and Mah...

Hi guys, need opinion and advice on the bike (VFR800X). So far any major issue with the bike? Never had a touring bike or to its equivalent. Just upgraded to class 2. Presently riding Super 4 and intends to upgrade to this bike.

 

Went to the showroom to view and sat on it. I'm not that tall (165cm) Either I need to tip-toe both leg or slanted a bit in order to have a firm balance on one leg.

 

Heard from some review say that the seat is adjustable but not much. Any similar rider with about same height having any issue with the bike height?

I am 170. Riding the older version. Lowered my bike but still need to tip toe... You can ask the bike shop to put it at the lower seat height. If still uncomfortable, check the seat if it is possible to shave off cushion? Seat must be thick then can shave. If it's thin, shave already nothing to sit on...
