hello, may i ask a stupid question? air filter and oil filter got difference anot? or are they the same thing? and watz the "thing" (round cylinder shape) beneath the exhaust? saw the mech replacing that, but dunno wat izzit, forgot to ask also. thanks

Air filer and Oil filter is a distinct difference. I don't know which model is your bike. But only 4 Stroke bike need to change oil filter for every 2 cycle of engine oil change.

Yah. That should be the Oil Filter. Because Air Filter is not placed there.

don't get confused.

that's the air filter u talking abt.

oil filter, be it oem, k&n, abc, xyz brand, still require periodic change. to answer your next question, 10,000km is the distance most of us change the oil filter.

HI bro, nw i hve 1 mo for knn oil filter @ $14.50 ea outside selling $18-20 if i'm nt wrong but i can say tat original honda oil filter is $18 inc installation in Bukit Merah bike shp. i was given one as keychain... thought it is a mini K&N for advertising... never know it can actually be used... what is the purpose of the mini K&N?

actually this so-called crankcase breather hasn't got much use......

why else wouldn't it be a stock feature if it were that effective??

the crank case thing does work but it isn't done by replacing the engine oil cap with the tube. by removing ur cap, it'll decrease the pressure of ur oil & thus the oil indicator will show tht there's not enough oil & u'll pull somemore which will in the end make the oil sump to be too full & ur bike will have no power. u can search for the correct way to do the crank case thingy somewhere in tis forum

dun have to really wait very long what. cos normally you will clean the K&N while doing your full service...

 

after take out the fuel tank, take out K&N wash, change spark plugs, change EO, change oil filter, etc. but the time you finished everything, the K&N will already be dried already...
