actually if u know how to allow more air into air box chamber, even a stock(paper) filter can b as good as a K&N or BMC. but paper filter is not reusable.....

den again for optimal performance u hav to get e air/fuel ratio correct, more air alone does not get u anywhere. tat y some ppl go for jetting to increase fuel intake for e carb.....

Current P200 setup: Sinnob Sproc[15, 39], NGK platinum plug with spark booster, V3 racing coil, cheetah CDI[dual mode], broquet B2, DIY oiler, hazard light, DIY gnding, PE28[pj-38, mj-120], open pod filter

hi sabbaha,

how do you clean BMC? for K&N, we use a 'recharge kit' which is basically one bottle to wash and one bottle of red stuff to apply on the filter...

thinking of switching to BMC cos hear better than K&N

My own theory , juz sharing

- $70 plus for a KnN filter , u can rewash n rewash again n use again . but again , i seen how workshop wash e filter and use those air gun to blow them dry , the filter by then would be so damage .And how clean can it be from a brand new filter ? After washin will be as clean as a new stock filter ? Wonders.

- $30 plus for a Honda OEM filter . After usin for XX-km of milege u decided to change , juz buy a new one . And its clean from anything .

Performance wise , its all up to individuals and their ridin style and their feelin to judge.

Some said after install got difference , some said no . Its take up quite alot of set-up for ur bike to perform optimal performance

this is jus what i'm looking for bro ......

thanks for clearing my doubts........

Ya would like to know also BMC vs KNN. BMC price is double of KNN. Is there a huge performance increase?

I'm changing mine (stock) to KNN or BMC but dunno which one good. I don't mind spending more for product that is longlasting, increased performance and etc...

Any people would like to input on this?

Yeah , i found e filter on e offical webby but canot order as its only in US n Canada only . Any input like who sells them and hw much

I attach a pic and e description of e filter from their webby

From e webby:

Code : 441/08

Price (US $): 54.77

BMC REPLACEMENT FILTER

BMC has developed a particular production system based on soft rubber moulding which produces the familiar BMC red filters. They are made in one single piece with no welded joints in the corners, thus avoiding breaking risks.

Got this information from a webby :

BMC Racing Air Filters

Developed in the high tech world of F1 racing, BMC filters are currently in use by Ferrari, Porsche, and BMW factory teams.

These washable air filters are manufactured to higher tolerances than any others on the market for maximum filtration and flow rate. BMC incorporates parallel pleated cotton fabric to offer flow rates of up to 900CFM.

BMC recommends filter service every 25,000km.

Todd Says: "I am often asked about the BMC race filters and the level of particle filtration. Well, the bottom line is that what you give up in very fine particle filtration you gain in CFM airflow. Do I suggest ANY high flow air filter to those riding in extremely dusty conditions? No. But for the track day riders and racers seeking to maximize the potential of their full exhaust systems, BMC is a great choice."

Just wondering, if anyone got any problems or bad experience with BMC air filters? There is an MO on BMC and was thinking of getting one.

Appreciate if can get some feedback on BMC.

Juz wondering: increase performance when changing to KNN or BMC in what ways? does it cause the fuel flow faster to react with more air rushing in? as mine is still stock i would like to find out too as i am switching sooner or later
