Comes in original packing in box with proper label. Can ask mechanic to show you. I paid $68 at Alexandra Village. A bit more pricey, but I always go there, so quick quick service and all. Can ask a bit more questions about other things and get advice. So mai hiam lah.

So far, I oni know that K&N Air Filter is available for Ver.S and Vtec and Spec II (Vtec & Spec II should use the same filter, while Ver.S is at the side, round cone type air filter).

Fixing the air filter is rather easy to D.I.Y.

Maybe u guys can check and see if the installer at MotorX is interested to do installation serivce at reasonable price or not.

After fitting a couple of days, still can't really tell the difference in performance leh. Does it help in performance or just keep the air intake cleaner for your bike?

With the change of air filter, the bike will require a proper 'tuning' to be done. Tuning - there are two areas, one is the syn of all 4 of the carb, the other is the air/fuel ratio.

Without proper tuning done, the difference cannot be feel and in some cases, it will perform even worst than stock air filter coz ur bike will be running leaner with better air flow, while the fuel intake remains the same.

There is definitely increase in performance. It's whether one is able to feel it or not. And if one is expecting miracle to happen (sorta like expecting a 400cc bike to suddenly perform like a 1000cc bike), of coz it will never happen. Be practical in ur expectation.

Lastly, not too sure myself too but I believe the performance will come in very obvious on the high-end portion, whereby air flow must be fast enuf to keep smooth combustion cycle, thus K&N air filter comes into picture. Low-end wise, difference may not even be noticeable.

after changin to K&N and tunin the bike, fuel consumption will also improve rite?

Hi all,i jux bought an k&n air filter fr a friend n was installed it on the spot.

my question: is gaskets needed for the both ends of the air filter before inserting in=something looks like an airbox????

K&N air filters provide high air flow with excellent filtration and are designed to increase "horsepower and acceleration"
