hi, guys im going tokyo this jan, does any1 knw the JR-pass can be use on Shinkansen Asama?? coz im going to Nagano.

yes you can, but from nagano to yudanaka (with the snow monkeys) i think you will need to buy a separate ticket from the train station....

hi bro, its quite a journey up from tokyo to yudanaka, i think its at least half a day on the train but worth the trip.... have you booked your accomodation in yudanaka? my family stayed at this great guest house near the train station, the owner is very friendly, speaks english will drive you around to see the sights... i think the ryokan is called shimaya, very convenient and price is reasonable...

 

if you have time in japan i would highly recommend visiting some of the amazing motorcycle museums while you are there.... suzuki is in hamamatsu (i think its the closes to Tokyo), yamaha communication tower is in iwata and honda is in yutsonomiya (the furthest i think).... i visited the honda museum last year, took me 3 hours of train and 3 hours of bus from tokyo but it was worth it.... got to see the museum and the motegi twin ring track....
