hi, the NINJA has always been my dream bike.anybody knows where i can get my hands on 1?any suggestion to which model and so so?can help coz i quite lost with bikes... :help: and it would be best if there is like an estimated price range... :sorry:

Hey Snoopy,

 

Which model to recommend depends on what you want it for...for track days, go for a ZX10R or ZX6R (or ZX6RR), for long distance and general high speed fun, go for a ZX12R, and for a bike that's a solid all-rounder, go for a ZX9R (bear in mind that Kawasaki don't make niners any more so you'll be looking exclusively at 2nd hand bikes).

 

Of course, this is just my opinion...maybe other Ninjas will disagree with me!

 

If you can narrow down which particular bike you're after and what your price range is I'm sure there's plenty of people here who can recommend which particular model is best for you (for instance, ZX9R B model vs ZX9R C model vs ZX9R E model).

Looking at your previous post, you are looking more on the 400s than class 2. If you are really looking for a Kawa bike, PM me your contacts & we talk over the phone.

Steve, i dont think so cos Richard wouldnt be willing to pay the price i'm really looking for . Anyway, I'll just leave it sitting in the carpark since it's pretty cheap to upkeep.

 

no track days for me until late Jan at least. lots of travelling and stressful work right now. gotta try to make as much as possible .......

He got abt $360 for a ZX-12R inclusive of installation done by Dili Trading.

 

I think bridgestone is very good for street use.

 

Quietspeed i think u can try Dili cos they have quite a lot of 014 for sale.

Blue sixxer in the covered carpark below the hawker center. I was in my car so he certainly wont recognise me.

The reason I recommend you to go there is b/c you just got your bike & you don't know what the previous owner did. Mr Hai is a very experience mechanic that handle a lot of Kawa & BMW bike. When he is doing your bike, he will also advise you if you need to replace other parts other than just servicing your carbs. His workmanship is good & normally, he won't ask you to change anything unless it is necessary. But bear in mind that don't bargain just to save a few bucks b/c he is not a typical mechanic & the service level is there.

 

Definately his price is higher but I strongly recommend you to let him do the first time so he can also inspect your bike if there is any other issue. He has been doing my bike since I bought the bike at Dili 5 yrs ago & you can't expect cheaper as you didn't got the bike from them. The boss is a bit cocky but he is nice when his mood is good.

 

Remember to get Mr Hai some drinks as this is his working style. If you are still not comfortable, let me know & I see if I can join you. :goodluck:

damn... writing this the third time... it seems they are "rejecting" my replies...

 

anyway, thanks for the great advice Alex, talked to uncle hai and found him extremely helpful and friendly. we've worked out things to be done on my little ninja and i'll be there as soon as i can find the cash to (i'm all dry paying for the insurance and transfer)...

 

btw, how's the redline water wetter thingy working out? i'm considering... what about the rest of ninjas who's tried this, any complains?

seems to take longer time to warm up and cools down faster than before.

 

got funny smell at first..but that was due to the radiator i flushd out.

NOK97 is riding a black 12r if i am not wrong... the blue 636 you saw is not his comfirm...
