I wonder why ur mech suggest u to change the intake valve cos normally most mech would would just had it re-grind including valve seats if the valve is not bent, which i seldom sees unless the timing chain broke apart whilst engine running. The job requires a top overhaul though $$$. Better get other mechs opinion before going into that option.

 

Anyway, i've just diy tore apart my carb this morning to see wats wrong on mine. Found the #2 float setting a bit too high and had it adjusted to same as the rest. Air mixture screw found to be at abt 1.00 turns and i had it set to 1.5 turns. Need to ride it for a day or two and see if there's any improvement on my plugs. Plugs on my #2 were found to be coated with thick black sooty deposit, clean it and put it back. Bike seems to run and sound much better after putting back everything in place. I dun touch other parts of the carbs as that would require balancing to be done after that.

ok sss man, no problem. anyway i also stay in the east. blk 492C tamp. maybe we can meet someday for a kopi session while planning to go to loois.the date will decide later as now quite busy with work commitment. how about a kopi session this few days at mr teh tarik? u know where is it? along tamp. st 43. anyway i used to go to salihin but seems that place is always too crowded with bikers.

No problem Final warning, just give me a buzz for teh tarikkk.. Just name the place. Quite some time since i have a tcss at kopitiam anyway. Nowadays time mostly occupied by either work, kids or just fiddling around with my car and bike. Cheers...

Most probably Sakura Grand View or BP Towers.

Our options are open.

Staying in Hdy for 1 night and then ride on the next day.

Haven't decide on the next town yet.
