it's a good deal... right?

anywayz, my mechanic advised me not to get a kawa bike cos the spareparts are not easily available.

what are your comments? any bros can share regarding the 'difficult to get spares' issue?

(PS. BBB... if i can get my head off the R1, i'll get this one for sure... hehehe... so don't flame me k? :thumb: )

Oooooooohhhh...for trackday 16th, we will do the 10am session. 2 hours is enough for me, so by the time we pack up and go it will be about 1245hr. arrive SG 2pm.

let me see if I can squeeze 9th october instead of 16th, Steve.

I should return from Indo on 8th evening. if not burnt out, then we do 9th Oct instead. cheers

My lecture starts at 4pm, so in theory I should still be able to do both...I'm cutting it fine though! Don't knock yourself out to make the 9th, the 16th should still be ok. Unless anyone else would rather do the 9th, that is...comments guys?

Getting a new toy today haha ...CBR 600 f4i alas could not afford the 636 sigh...

I'm not trying to put you off or anything, but I remember being warned away from the F4 by my mechanic. I can't remember the specifics, but he said that there was a problem with the bike that Honda had never managed to fix...anyone know anything about this?

13+k is a good deal.. dun worry abt kawa parts.. you can always order aftermarket parts to replace... i ride my 12r for around 3yrs. no problem with everything... once you ride a kawa you will know why i still buy back kawa although the insurance is higher than other bike... the mid range of kawa is very good.. in track you can win a R1 but not on the road.. the CC diff.

OK, situation regarding licences for foreigners is as follows...

For 12 months after arriving in Singapore, a foreigner is allowed to use an international driving licence. After that though, they must convert it to a Singaporean licence. Its fairly easy, they just need to pass the basic theory test and take that along to the TP at Ubi. I read somewhere that no matter what licence you have from your home country, your Singapore bike licence will only be class 2b...BUT the people who handle applications are sensible and I just explained how long I'd been riding and how I learned to ride on a big bike in the UK. They gave me class 2 without any problems at all...my licence is valid for 5 years.

Hope this helps

BBB,

You need a lauguage converter. Sim Lim Square is selling $20 per unit. :D

haha... i think he's quite well versed in english... he's just typing like that deliberately...

... anyway, i think it takes more effort to write like that than to use proper english. :cheeky:
