I dunno which forum i should post in,sorry for this repost.

Hey guys, my bike recently had some carb problems so I bought a keihin carb from a forumer. He swears that its original. But when I showed it to my mech for installation, he says that its not and would cause idling problems. I said if its not too bad then its ok la, just use.

Now after my mech has installed the carb, the idling when i turn on the bike is normal. But once i throttle abit, its terrible, my bike's rpm didnt want to go down. It stays on whatever rpm it is on for like 10 seconds before slowly going down. (my bike dont have an rpm gauge, so i dunno what rpm it is on but its high).

Its so terrible that I when I'm on the road, I had to swtich off my engine at traffic lights. Ppl were staring at me! I'm using power filter so its kinda loud! When my mech says that its bad, i didnt expect it to be this bad. =(

What could be the problem guys? Is my bike not turned properly or is my throttle cable jam or its the fake keihin carb? Is there even fake keihin carb or is my mech just trying to con me to buy their carb. They selling at 250! Need help guys. I love my bike and am sad that this has to happen.

did the jets brand correspond to ur carb, cus diff brand size for diff carbs may have same jet number but the flow rate is diff.

If bring to mech he would know whether the cable got probs or slack,at times can be due to ur carb float level. Are the choke cables are fine?

from your issuses ,seems like even after u clse throttle the petrol is still been supplied or there is still excess petrol in carb.
