Aprilia SRV850

Hi guys, realised that it's rather inappropriate to post Aprilia scooters under Gilera, and decided to create this thread instead.

Anyways, I've emailed Mah Motors, and they say that production for this scooter only starts in Apr. They're aiming for machine price of $18-19k.

By the time homologous units arrive locally, it'll probably be around June/ July earliest.

I've also enquired about the Mana 850GT, and they don't bring in cos there isn't a demand for this bike. But they can special indent, however it has to be homolog tested first....

Haha.

Bearing in mind both the C600 Sports and C650GT actually has the same, 647cc Twin-Cylinder engine.

The future of two-wheel mobility will be scootering. No doubt about that.

The ease of twist-and-go, together with practical underseat storage, fittings of top box won't spoil the looks, as well as more sporty performance, means people who're currently riding street-sport bikes, will turn to sports-maxi-touring-scooters as their likely next choice of two-wheelers!

New generation of scooters have great matching looks as well!

Haha. Thx!

The BMW C650GT fat rear arse means can store two full face helmets sideways, but it spoils the looks totally

. Not good as well is the fat price tag.

That said, there still ain't much choice for Class 2A. Give it time and I'm sure more and more models will be available throughout all engine capacity sizes.

Oh. Ya. I did read an article on a supposed Ducati Super-scooter coming out.

Using the same engine as the 1098/ 1198 from the Superbike =)

But then Ducati just introduce an update 1199.... Haha.

I just realised that the GP800 actually has a 839.9cc V-Twin engine, and it produces 75bhp, which is the same as the Aprilia SRV850 ahh? Haha.

So judging from the GP800 pics, it can only store one full-size helmet in the underseat storage.

No wonder the pricing can be below $20k [Machine Price], cos this engine and bike has been in the market for donkey years le. Since YR2007, making it a 5 yrs old bike now.

Nowadays maxi scooter maintenance becoming very expensive..

Tires a pair already $300 over for those with radial tires....Belts,rollers,u clips and now the finally drive needs to take care of...

Tmax, belt driven, SRV850,GP800 chain driven....Become more expensive to maintenance than class 2 supersport and superbike...

I still like my 2001 TMAX at least the maintenance still manageable....
