seems like every1 still discussing on whether to use x1r or nt... din see any comment on the feedback of using x1r... ah pek has been using it on his 14yr old pb1 for v long.. his bike still strong and fit till now...

i have a friend running super 4 for about 13-14years too. change oil at every 12,000km with cheapo dino oil that cost about RM10 plus per bottle. 5-6days a week in and out of malaysia and the bike is still running fine with no overhual ever done. only problem is a leaking radiator after 10year as he have never changed his coolant except topping up with tap water. so what did he missed out from x1r?

once i read a VOA of a similar additive containing chlorinated paraffin. the TBN of this additive is about 14-15. most bike oil have a TBN of around 10. i have no doubt that it is enough to compensate for the possible extra acid by-product for it to be harmful. unlike diesel engine, a TBN of 10 in engine is very decent. i have not read any bike UOA that have TBN fallen close to 1.

again the question to bring up is why do we need an EP in engine oil?

May be you could also try out MSP, a pure oil based nano technology metal treatment concentrate, available since mid 1990s in USA.

MSP Engine Oil Enhancer

Benefits

•For quieter, smoother, more powerful engine

•Contributes to cleaner emissions(tests by PSB Singapore show carbon dioxide and hydrocarbon emission reduction of between about 80% and 70% respectively)

•Reduces friction and eliminates up to 95% of engine wear(used oil analysis)

•Pure petroleum based. Non corrosive. No PTFE, leads, solid particles, molybdenum disulfide or other solid friction modifiers. MSP will not cause harmful deposits

•Extends oil change intervals up to 3 times(or more) between oil changes (after 3 treatments). Extension should be based on existing oil quality

•Excellent dispersant which dissolves any existing deposit build-up and holds sludge harmlessly in suspension while preventing the deposition of varnish and lacquer on engine parts in severe service

•Quadruples engine lifespan

•Reduces substantial direct expenses and maintenance costs

•Protects engines in the event of lubricant loss

•Protects engines across a wider range of temperatures

•Lower operating temperature and noise level in engine

•Keeps engines cleans

•Engineered for all internal combustion engines
