[Trip Report] - Ride to Kuala Terengganu via Routes 76 (Gerik) and 4 (Jeli)

Hi all,

Since Broga Hill Ride was cancelled due to everyone falling out last minute due to different agendas and work commitments...I

decided to ride up to a route I always wanted to try.

I left Singapore and met some bikers heading to KL for a meetup with some KL bikers at GP at 4am. After having a brief chit-chat and wishing them a safe journey I carried on and started my ride.

Went northbound via the North-South highways to Kuala Kangsar exit - Route 76 and then joined in the old beautiful roads, which looked very much like those Country roads you see in European countries. It was a very much long detour to get to Kuala Terengganu, but nevertheless the most enjoyable and fruitful one. Being alone, it made it little less stressful, as I didnt have wait or take in account numbers or do more stops...I just kept to my pace and stopped whenever I felt like it.

Reached Kuala Terengganu by 5pm the same day. Rode to the Pantai (Beach) first to enjoy the magical view overlooking the South China Sea and the winds and waves and the sun setting down. Then went to get some dinner before finding a place to stay for the night.

Next day carried on my journey home, down southbound on Route 3 to Kuantan, and then merging with the E8 Express all the way cutting through the East to the West of Malaysia to the heart of Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur. From there spent some time in KL before flying low southbound on the E2 back to Singapore.

Great experience altogether.

Totalled a 1832.6 kilometres.

Cheers

how trengganu safe ?

how bad incidents there ?

Terrengganu from what I heard the Roti Canai man say where I went to eat, he said not safe at night. Especially your bike.

But I found it pretty fine, I was out alone at 9pm also...no issue, plus by 9 it gets pretty quite near the beach area alr.

No incidents which I saw bro.
