Hi guys, my speedo apparently went bonkers, this being the 2nd time: 1st was when I've gotten a busted rear bearing. after replacement of the bearing, the speedo went fine.

however, while riding in the rain to work this morning, my speedo went out again. the indicated speed was jumping up and down.

question is, would moisture from the rain be a culprit, as i'm pretty sure it's not my bearing.

i'm riding a rieju rs3 125 which sports a digital speedo. i'm not sure where to start looking for the cable, if it has one in the first place! any constructive advise would be appreciated.

if i can sort it out myself, it'd be good; i dont really wanna go back to the dealer.

check if the speedo sensor on your wheels is loose. you should see a cable from under the tank going to the front wheel. and see something connected to the shaft of the front wheel.

trace the cable, see if there is any pinching or abraded cables.

thanks buddy. I checked earlier, it does not appear to have any cables running to the front wheel except the brake line.. i dont see anything amiss at the rear too; no cables that look frayed etc..

i believe it's located at the rear, cuz the first time my speedo went ting tong was due to a spoilt rear bearing. I tried searching for the service/factory manual for the bike cuz i dunno how the speed sensor looks like too..

but i cant seem to find any other information that is related to my bike though..
