Bro, don't mind me asking, is it worth it to go JB to pump petrol for bikes like s4 and nc700x? cos the fuel tank is rather small, and can only accumulate to est 300+ km per tank.

for s4, i think it's pretty much okay if you are going in with near to empty tank.....

s4 can pump about 18 litres if you are totally dry. for every litre you pump in malaysia 95ron, you save about $1.21 SGD (based on 2.45) rate

for every tank you get about $21 SGD in savings, 1 month 4 times easily $84.....

this is provided you don't stuck in the causeway jam and you don't stay very far away from the north....

well everyone mentality is different so it differs.....cheers.

kifakw

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car

and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,

torque is how far you take the wall with you.

Actually on an average month, I spent around 80 on petrol. To me, this is very affordable... So I don't pump petrol in jb... But it's up to oneself to see if one should go pump petrol there... To me... 80 and convenience is more important than travelling there...

from scottoiler website, only the new e-system is supported. you can also download the mounting instruction from theri website and there shows where you can mount the reservoir.

Thanks bro. dont meant to poke at anyone but just curious. used to drive my car in to pump petrol too, so i know how the maths work. just that currently iI'm travelling at least 70-80km a day, so with that would need to go in every 4 days which will be a pain in the bottoms. hahaha. but for bikes we can pump 95 when we go in through woodlands custom?

Former rides:

HONDA SP (FP4733L) - CAGIVA MITO (FS7923U) - GILERA RUNNER (FS6524U) - HONDA SHADOW (FP5522Y) - HONDA PCX (FBF3971Y) - HONDA CB400 VTEC 1 (FS2994Y) - YAMAHA FZ1S (FBA5057A) - HONDA CBR400RR-R (FQ6676A)

I’ve had email them & enquire on the automatic/manual one’s.. they mentioned that the product is using vibration on our bike.. it mean once we start our engine the chainolier will drip by itself.. & once we off our bike it will automatic off by itself…. It also can manually adjust the amount of chainolier to drip onto our chain… just like scottolier..:)

i guess in generally it is harder to get parts for new bikes.. esp new conti bikes..

the reason is maybe japanese bikes usually reuse some of their common wear and tear parts from other existing bikes.. therefore there are stock available.

Just rode from jb caltex to desaru and back. Within 3k rpm. Managed to hit 140km in first bar of fuel gauge. 2.8L/100km. 83.6mpg.

If I were to ride along the Malaysian highway this tank I will be able to squeeze out a projected 503km! Heap 503km on a NC700X.

Some parts of the NC700 series are definitely procured from existing Honda inventory.
