according to them it depends on when they receive documents frm japan, the type approval itself takes abt 2 weeks, loois is parallel import tts y they dont need to care abt type approval, warranty, safety recall, spare parts supports etc... anyway boon siew is clever not to have any customer service emails on their web... cant seem to find a way to shoot a letter up.

 

Agree with you, why is the S version passed the inspection? Is just a different facelift between X & S both with c-ABS.

Oh, Combined ABS is only for DCT models. Non-DCT model have only ABS.

Think I'll be waiting for the Loois to bring in the DCT model.

i spoke to lee regarding the DCT version they themselve not bringing in DCT.. im not sure for now..

 

updates for the accesories for X and S model.. june H&B parts will be arriving at m technik.. according to mr chan, he mentioned that X and S are compatabble just that the parts no are diff..

actually without dct i am fine...

i don't mind pure old school clutch...

hmmm...

will give them a call soon...

BS sold out all NC & left a white S base on last week information, not sure about now.

Heh, I wanted the DCT cause I wanted to try Auto as well as retaining full manual control!

There are some NC700X and NC700S at ASPhoon, their prices should be higher as they gotten their stock from Loois'

Partially right. It does not have clutch lever but it does have Gear switches on the handlebar, so instead of kicking up and down, the rider can press the buttons on the handle switches to switch up and down.

 

DCT is not specifically designed to be auto but rather being automatic is one of its benefits. So there are 3 modes, "D" for everyday riding and touring, "S" for sports riding, allows the bike to go up to higher revs before changing gears automatically and "MT" for Full manual control via gear switches.

 

Oh, one more thing bout the C-ABS.

 

Secure C-ABS braking

Combined Antilock Braking System (C-ABS) is standard on both the NC700S and NC700X.

Unique to Honda, C-ABS provides safe and efficient stopping power in a wide variety of road

conditions. Front and Rear brakes are both operated by the rear brake pedal; however, the

front brake can be operated individually with the front brake handlebar lever.

ASPhoon dun get their stock from Looi's, ASPhoon is the one that import on behalf of BS. You will be very suprise that BS got their bikes from ASPhoon.

That's surprising news indeed because what the shop guy at ASPhoon told me was that their NC700X and NC700S was gotten from Loois. Was quoted 18k OTR for the basic model at ASPhoon while BS and Loois have lower prices.

Looi's was the first to import NCX & stopped by BS from selling, a friend of mine who is Looi's regular told me. Mr Lee then export out NCX. Very complicated.......

 

Just buy which you u comfortable..........

Haha yeah, they are all the same bike after all. Just see which shop offers a more reasonable pricing. Wished BS brings in the DCT model though, would rather deal with them.

the S and X passed at the same time... but fyi the specs for X is better than S... the reason for delay was the document, not the bike
