hi guys according to the manual the breaking in engine is 500km.. my bike already pass the 650km marked.. i went in jb again to pump fuel again..

my my 1 bar to reserve flasher came at 330km ( my riding style is 100-110 km while riding).. and i pump a total of 11.5L till full tank.. according to spec.. its a 14.1L with 2.7L reserve inclusive.. im getting a 28.6 km/L.. which is extremely good and if i do the math i would get roughly 403.2KM for a full tank till dry..

imagine if i were to do less on the throttle i would get even more.

well i did wana try to get the top speed.. bt only manage to get 160km/h on the speedometer and rpm was at 4 if im not wrong. i close the throttle as was scared there might be TP at the flyover infront of me..

U ride at a speed of 100-110km before break in? U should get better mileage after break in. Someone is hitting 30KM/L after first servicing. As for top speed should be around 190KM.

Don't bother about top speed while riding in local.

Enjoy your ride.

yea agree with newblood, but specs wise the X is slightly better

i think the X won the S for the torgue and power output:

for NC700s:

Maximum output

(kW[PS]/rpm) 35/6250

Maximum torque

(m[m]/rpm) 60/4750

for NC700x:

Maximum output

(kW[PS]/rpm) 38.1/6250

Maximum torque

(m[m]/rpm) 62/4750

yep kinda a little bit better for x.. however i still think the luggage compartment for the X is smaller compared to the S.. but who cares if u wana get a box.. lol.

tested with a fullface helmet.

many people ask me while im on the road if this bikes feels like a super 4.

well let me answer ur qns.. its totally different feel than super4.. if u ever ride a african twin(AT),..the engine for the AT and the NC700s/x feel the same..

the roughness of the engine sound while moving off make this bike unique.. its rough sound.. bt the enigne is smooth while riding.

while running in u might feel that changing gear is rough.. well i encounter that at first.. now its gone after finish breaking in..

changing gear is as smooth as super 4..

went to a.s phoon at changi yesterday and they quote me machine price w/o insurance for nc700x $18500 for abs & $17500 for non abs....so tempted to get the bike but waiting for the availability for lots of accessories to be available then will think of seriously getting the bike. seems to have good review both local and international.
