WR200 very slow! is it normal?

Hey guys.

I just bought a FP plate WR200.

The pick up is quite good,

but the top speed is 70km/h,

with the engine roaring like mad.

So I usually go at 60km/h.

Is this normal for a 10-year-old bike?

If no, will changing the exhaust system to racing one make it faster?

Or do I need to overhaul?

Thanks ALOT man..

pick up good means ur sprocket size should b 45 or 48. top speed 70km/h only could b either ur belly n end can full of carbon or ur valve need to service. if roaring like mad, u better don't make it roar or else its gonna cry haha the block might get scrathed thus ur piston can jammed. another thing is WTH is a racing exhaust system dude. if u mean change the stock belly to pc belly dats fine......these r just minor stuffs aite.

Hey. Thanks alot guys.

Got a few questions.

1. What's a sprocket and how to check it's size?

2. How to decarbonize the exhaust and belly?

(I'm thinking the belly is that tumour looking thing right?)

3. What's a PC belly?

So there's no need to overhaul?

Thanks again!

Really appreciate it..

1. look at the chain & you'll see a metal disc with teeth. thts a sprocket and it spins your chain. Size of front and rear sprocket combination can make a difference to your top end or bottom end power.

The size of the sprocket is directly related the number of teeth on it. Size 46 would mean 46 pieces of teeth on the sprocket.

2. Unless you're good with a blowtorch, go to workshop to decarbonize.

3. PC = Pro Circuit. Its an aftermarket performance brand of products.

Overhaul is done for a variety of reasons. Most of the time, a top end overhaul is needed when pistons rings are worn out or cylinder crack. Bottom end overhaul is more serious when your piston seizes.

These are probable causes for your bike to be underpowered. You gotta diagnose the root cause based on the side effect you are experiencing. From there you'll know what needs repairing.
