use a 555 timer IC... suitable for LED circuit!

bro regarding the circuit using the 555 timer..

 

1. since our bikes' charging currents usualli fluct between 11V - 16V.. will the IC take it? i scared juz awhile the IC will give up liao.. due to voltage fluctuation..

 

2. is the load the circuit can take is limited to LEDs? or can we load the circuit with conventional bulbs to blink?

555 timer ic can handle 18V (depend on specs)... haven't tried flux voltage on it... got to try.

 

as for normal bulb, I don't think it can handle the high current required by filament bulb. for normal bulb, don't waste time... buy the cheapest blinker relay from Ah boy
