i was completely lost in sim lim the other day.....couldnt even find the store that i used to go to...

 

does any of u know what happened to the store with the 3 or 4 ladies in front selling mp3 players?

lowest price for comp stuff....

if only all my resources were't tied up eh?

then maybe you could find 1-2 more ulu ulu stalls that are cheaper than fuwell,

but only by abt $20 or so....

costronic at sim lim is cheapest. But for rough guide, you can see the pricing from here . This shop called Videopro in Sim lim got scanned price list here.

 

External hard disk, I recommended get a seagate coz the spec say got shock absorbing thing. External 3.5" casing make sure got build-in fan. I suggest buy external casing made in korea, I don't trust china made stuff. Especially the fan unit. My 300GB seagate IDE hard disk only S$150.

 

You can also buy a 5.25" external casing for your internal dvd writer - much cheaper than buying a standalone external dvd writer. Its also future proof - can change the internal writer anytime.

 

Assembling own PC? Can consider DELL , because cost is almost same as self assembled- savings not much. (also 3 yr warranty for all parts) or can consider Acer laptop. Acer laptop cheap because they give Linux which is superfast compare to Win XP. Can also install WinXP as dual boot later. Got build-in dvd writer some more.

your $175 for 60gb is 2.5" hard disk. 3.5" hard disk is much cheaper.

 

Now the videopro shop selling $148 only for 300GB - see here for latest price list .

External 3.5" casing for the hard disk got build-in transformer & power plug - unlike the 2.5" hard disk casing which gets power from the laptop.

 

Now I have used my 300GB external hard disk to swap anime files with Ones_co once already.
