dunno leh...torn between hp n hard disk n saving for bike

ide hard disk is for older PCs, nowadays most newer PC using SATA but most external hard disk casing is having only ide interface connectors inside - so have to buy IDE hard disk for external drive. This applies to both 2.5" & 3.5" hard disks.

 

SATA is not necessary better than IDE - read here to understand why.

deleting away? What a waste. My external 300gb hard disk is half full. Why not bring your laptop & I help you to transfer your anime to my hard disk - free storage. You can transfer my stuff to your laptop also. Next time when you upgrade yr hard disk , I transfer back to you.

ahahaha...

can ar...but when to meet sia?my hard drive also abit spoil...

some series i transfer inside the hard drive, then they cannot be played...

 

if i get 300GB, sure d/l samurai x...

but mine the standard stuff leh...i think u also got...

got bleach,samurai champloo, abenobashi n eyeshield..

these are on my hard drive...

if u got i can delete..so when i get new one can just tansfer from urs

BTW deathnote, Dgrayman ... selling there are like how many eps now?? bcos present japan only till 6-7eps only they cant be faster rite? or they also dwnload and convert to DVD and sell??

cannot play? run a scandisk in case got corrupted FAT. Hope your FAT is not NTFS. Worse case upgrade yr laptop harddisk to bigger & newer.

 

Btw , if you people want to archive your anime downloads to dvd, try use Mitsui brand disc - one of the best & reliable. Contrary to popular beliefs, dvd disc dun last forever unless its a good quality/ brand.

 

Last time I met Ones_co for anime swap was at Ngee Ann Poly - got many power sockets & free Wifi. And nobody cares even if you not a student there. Probably early next week we can meet up for anime swaps if you interested.

i dono wat brand of DVD i use... cos i always buy in sim lim cheap DVDs in 50/100pcs... but so far so good...

 

Wonder if i shld convert my older collections in CD into DVD ... imagine how much CD i wasted ..... :giddy:

got powerpoint can already..

then i sit there whole day watch anime....

then next time u can insure ur dvd collection...!

i heard the blu-ray dvd writer coming. And its downward compatible with the normal dvds. Coz PS3 already comes with blu-ray dvd reader.

It's better because storage capacity is > 40GB as compared to the normal dvd of 4.7GB.

 

So its good to future-proof your investment in external dvd writer by buying a 5.25" external USB ver2 casing for your internal DVD writer.

you can go to this shop in sim lim, #04-50, Newstead Tech, ask for eddie. They charge $20 for labor to upgrade.

 

You can buy RAMs or Harddisk from them, so no labor charge or you can buy hard disk from nearby shops & pay him labor charges.

 

Usually RAMs & harddisk are 2 common upgrades for laptop. If RAM is insufficient, the laptop become very slow because the O/S will use your hard disk as virtual RAM. Then hard disk life become shorten.

 

100GB 2.5" hard disk for laptop not so expensive nowadays - see the price list.
