Alright my X10 is now coming to 1years old this July, mileage 42,145Km, still going good. More tweaks and modifications to be done. I am planning to change the viariator and lightweight hydraulic-pneumatic rear suspension soon.

Dear Chiadennis,

My understanding on this, is that that you will need an additional BT tranmitter device to be inserted into your X10.

You might like to download and check from the X10 500 workshop manual on this topic; on the BT device and setting it up.

X10 gentlemen, I am getting my second hand X10 125 on this coming friday, before its too late to turn back. Do you all encourage?

I riding the X10 500, I cant say much on the 125 but the X10 is a nice machine. The only thing that I dont like about the my ride is the low speed vibrations. I talking about low carpark speed. I don't know if because of the single cylinder machine and it has a lot of torque that cause the vibrations? but once it get into speed it's nice and smooth.

Hi X10 brothers,

I got my X10 125 yesterday, and I was really happy. But as I was riding today, the engine simply turned off on its own, and the insufficient oil pressure warning light comes on, I tried to start the engine but failed. Only after 10 minutes did I managed to start it.

I am not sure if there is anything wrong, but now that I realize the insufficient oil and engine not startable warning light stays on when I put the key in the on mode. Also, the ABS and ASR light are not blinking together.

Insufficient oil pressure lights up because engine died. That is normal. Only need to worry when it lights up when engine running.

"No start" light could be due to side stand switch. Light should go off when side stand is up. Might wana extend and retract the side stand when it happens again to confirm. Piaggio has notoriously unreliable sidestand switch.

Thank you Ivant. Really hope to meet up with other X10 riders to learn more.

500 seems to vibrate more at low speeds. 350 is much smoother.

ABS and ASR not blinking together is normal. Once moving the lights should be off. If it stays on while moving means there's fault or activated.

Meet up would be nice :)

Thanks Rac. So is there anyone organising the meet up?

Hi big brothers,

I need your sincere input again, I do notice fluctuation (drop in RPM ) when my x10 125 stops at the red light. Any suggestion what could be the cause?

Dear Walua,

IMO;

I would first suspect your fuel pump is misbehaving or the fuel line.

Or your spark plug is the other concern.

Other than that, do check and see what is your scooter operating voltage for the dashboard, is it doing a healthy 14.1-14.5 volts?

if the voltage is fluctuating wildly, then the next suspect here is the battery (hopefully it is not the alternator not charging properly).

Hope the above helps.

Dear Tutu-Alex,

Thank you for the reply. The previous time I sent to sporting motor for servicing they claimed all are good but the spark plug cap, today I got it changed. Immediately after I left the workshop, my bike dies on me at red light.

Voltage does go down to 12 or 13 when idle and not running. So I think I should go down to piaggio (sporting motor) tomorrow again. :(

don't worry, i had this issue too. i realised you have to switch off your engine, take out your key and let it rest for like 5 to 10 secs. cycle your side stand and give it a firm kick when folding it in. reinsert your key and restart. it should work fine after that.

I used to think it was a fuel line issue too but just realized it could be some internal electronics or that side stand switch

Thank you byesleep, I sent it to piaggio and they helped me do a bypass of the sidestand. Eeverything works fine for awhile, but now the engine fan runs everytime when the temperature is a normal working range.... faint, solving one problem creates another....

Hi everyone, I am thinking to get a X10 500cc. Just do a test ride. And feel a lot of vibration went move off or low speed. Is it normal? In a long run will it loose the bike spare part. And will it be hard to replace the spare part? Thanks

Go test drive a 350 see if any difference. I believe the 350 is smoother. Using different kind of clutch.
