Installation of Aftermarket Fairings

I've juz got myself ABS aftermarket fairings for my Cbr600.... passed by a shop n asked how much they charge to install it for me.

Got a shock of my life when I was quoted $150!!!

 

is that really e market rate?? Anyone had installed theirs at a bike shop with cheaper quote? Do recommend....

DIY... it's not that difficult...

Shop claims it would take 2hrs as it's a taxing job... hence e high labour charge.

How long does it take for someone to do it alone?

It should be a plug n play

 

Unless urs need special needs eg headlight n tail light.

 

Prepare loads of bolts and nuts and brackets as usually aftermarkets wont be 100% true fit

it's just a few bolts and screws in my opinion..

It depends. If everything lines up nicely and the mounting holes are of the correct size, then no problems.

 

Else it's quite a hassle trying to align and drill and tap and what-not. And aftermarket fairings are not known for factory-precision-fit.
