Hi all sorry to disturd yur chatting but i am interested to buy a sp at 1700 for FT plate any1 can help???

FT plate for 1.7k .. think u need another 500-1k to spend on repairs ba... even my bro he bought an FR for 1.75 and he spend $500 to fix up everything. he did that on the day he bought it coz its safer.

Good and bad is just the difference between perceptions.

Flykite, refer to the above quote from Congx.

Hmmm, recently got one bike shop i ask to quote me the price for FR plate SP.

He quoted me 1950.. I got the intention to bargain till 1800. . . jus for machine..

On top of that, he provide me wif a 500 km warranty.

Is it a good deal, ?? bike condition looks good but i dunno abt the internal parts la.

If i budget 500 SGD for repair and maintenance which I plan to do it in malaysia.. izzit enough to cover a full service, paint work, brakes, etc.. (+petrol) ?? ???

thanks in advance for any advice

more than enough in you do in JB, but if u happen to need to do full engine overhaul to that bike, u may end up spending every single cent of the S$500 u budget for.

price so low, i think maybe internal got problem u never know. maybe engine need to overhaul, or the chasis is repatch one, outside looks nice is even more dangerous. 500km is very fast one, just two or three full tanks will be gone in a week (for me). don't forget that there is such a thing as "agreement fee" if the shop decide to charge u, and not forgetting that if that bike is laid up, u still have to pay for inspection, towing, new road tax and insurance, your OTR will come up to additional 400~600 on top of machine price

overhaul means changing the engine internal parts and bearings

after overhaul can consider u got new engine liao

sometimes after pple buang the chasis maybe bent or crack, and since chasis cannot be replaced so have to repair lor. but no matter how u repair also wont be good one.

insurance safer to buy TPFT in case pple sabo u burn or steal your bike u still can claim. but maybe ur annual premium will double becos of that.

FR 3.2k, is it worth it? i don't know, to me i don't think so, but to each his own. end of the day u like can already.

thanks,

anyway. TPFT means ???

btw, i often heard u guys saying HKL ?? izzit in malaysia ?? where ??

and also Full service of the bike include what kind of servicing to the bike ?? how much does it cost to do a full service ?? (In Malaysia)

Btw, my friend got his SP, when bike is in motion, the engine or dunno wad la, very noisy lei ... something like kawa KRR like tt very noisy ..even louder then tt, is that a engine prob also ?? iF i do a engine overhaul, will it improve the bike Acoustically ??? I think this friend of mine wanna kanna carrot again when he sent for repari .. haiz. .. dunno wad to advice this friend of mine. . . :sian: :sian:

If after all the maintenace and repair and touch-up, the bike can still run smoothly then I got no worry liao.. My main concern is the "Price" hope I won't be kanna carrot, then next is "performance and condition" of the bike. Actually iF anythings is cheaper then 3.2k for SP OTR, then I think the repair and maintenace will also spent up on the saving..

Lastly is the interest. . . really dun wish to pay the "licenced- ah-long" for installemnt wise. . .

thanks again ... :thumb:

3.2k otr for FR plate sp is very expensive in my opinion.. i got mine FU plate at around that price oso... didnt spend a cent repairing after riding for 2 months.. not much problems yet haha.

maybe u can look around in sbf classified mah. cheaper den motortiams.

haha.. Honda SP cost 3399.99 and 2700 FT plate. (quote from classified)

haha, Cannot make it la, although the 3399.99 bike looks pretty cool but too too ex.. haha this time the "Chopper" even bigger than the shop .. .haha shock !!!

btw, saw one $ 2200 de SP... mY doubt is, If i get from private seller, i need to settle my insurance, road tax (if due soon) and transfer fee right .. wat else to take note...

but that cost up to more than 4 k liao lei ... even costly isn't it. .???

hmmm, private seller give "good price" in today classified but no warranty and stuff... haha

getting a bike from private seller

1. you have to take his word for the bike's condition

2. any problems, settle yourself

3. full cash straight, no interest needed

4. transfer fee, road tax, insurance ownself settle

5. cheaper machine price

getting a bike from a shop

1. you have to take the shop's word for the bike's condition

2. any problems, go back to the shop and make noise

3. shop will most probably give you 1 month's warranty

4. able to take loan and pay by installment, interest is variable (HKL charging me 4.525% per year)

5. good for people who don't have full cash

6. transfer, road tax, inspection, insurance all done by the shop

7. more expensive machine price

8. but in exchange, you get a month's warranty and any old or aging parts you can ask the shop to change for you.

which is better? it's your choice.

let me ask you a question. what you think the rating for the sportec m1 is?

fyi its sometimes used on 1000cc bikes. some ppl do use it for the 400cc bikes, but its really not as good for them as some of the other tires out there. you think a 150 can sufficiently warm up the tire?

buy the bt39ss.

wah, everyone talking about bike prices! :/ doh
