count!

if your rear spocket is original honda accessories, there will be a number on it.

theoretically yes, technically no,

110km/h at 5000rpm would translate to 220km/h top speed, ur rear spockets would have to be something like 34 or 35 to achieve that, and u won't have the power to move off and go uphill.

is normal. your spocket setting is 14/40 based on 110km/h at 7000rpm assuming it's sixth gear.

that's not a good way to determine fuel consumption, do the following:

1. pump your favourite petrol to the brim of the tank, not the metal bar.

2. ensure the fuel knob is switch to on

3. reset the trip odometer to 0000

4. ride normally, try to avoid opening the valve and idling too long.

5. when the needle goes to E and the engine dies halfway while riding, note the odometer reading. it should range from 110 - 290km.

6. turn the fuel knob to RES and get going.

generally, anything less than 180km is high fuel consumption and anything above 260km u are running too lean. divide the number by 10 to obtain your approximate mileage per litre.

anyway, like the old bird say, if u want to save money on fuel, then u shdn't ride SP in the first place.

May I ask, how much is SP exact FULL tank ?? (exclude reserve) and how much is the reserve..

gekokujyou: oh ya the front sproc. and like you said, yeah no one really plays around with the front sproc.

gryffindor88: unless you checked the sprocket carefully and no number is stated, then you can start slowly counting the teeth :D

my rear sprocket is 37 only. 6th gear 6k rpm at 110km/h. i need a bigger sprocket. haha.

NeVe+S: an almost full tank about be around.. $12+ 13? on Esso 95. but i didn't drain the main tank fully and use the reserve. but it was pretty empty alr.

hmm about hte sprocket things Does wheel affect too? coz i think i have original sprocket setting but i am goign at 80km/h at 6k rpm so according to fly kite my bike will be at 160km/h at 12k rpm my bike at 6th gear can only reach like 9-10k rpm which will be like 140km/h

Good and bad is just the difference between perceptions.

halo i never said anything about speed and rpm being linearly related

the rpm and speed at 6000rpm and 12000pm is not linearly related, ie. if you made 80km/h at 6000rpm on sixth gear, it does not translate to 160km/h at 12000rpm. according to wat u say, ur 8000rpm should reach 105km/h, 9000rpm closing on 120km/h, 10000rpm maybe 130+km/h only. u probably be clocking around 140km/h at 11000rpm. if u think u have original spocket, well i don't think so, cos most likely your spock setting is 14/42 and your rear tire is 110/70. stock is 14/39. if u hear pple say sp can go 180km/h that's probably cos his spocket size is fnee's 37. and for fnee, 180km/h is almost 12000rpm already, get ready for piston seizure, lacer chenz will know. :D

and yes rear tire does affect pickup and top speed as well.

smaller tire = faster pickup, bigger tire = faster top speed.

how much in what sense u mean? the quantity or the price???

for me i usually top up full tank in JB caltex gold..really full tank around RM18.. that can last me for about 240km..

as for the reserve i not sure..cos when im in reserve i dun care about counting the distance.. go quickly look for petrol station!!

as for the sprocket settings..my rear sprocket is size 39.. and my front im not so sure.. my speed at 6th gear 5000rpm is 80km/hr, 6000rpm is 90km/hr..

pick up quite fast and my top speed so far i tried is 160km/hr..

your spock setting is same as my sp

at 7000rpm u will be at 115km/h, the fastest u can go is about 185km/h at about 12500rpm

neve+S, i don't know why u asking that question, cos no one has really able to determine exactly. if u talking about manual, it says 2.7 res + 7.8 main, which we have repeated many times. however i have squeeze up to 12.8L before. so if u minus 2.7 it probably is about 10litres.

yeah dats rite..7000rpm arnd 115km/hr.. but ive never rev my engine till the red light..! hahaha! damn scared of piston jam..my cuz did it on his TZM rev till red line den jam! sum more in JB piston jam..but luckily and miraculously his bike still can move..go back sing and check his whole block full of scratches!

neve+S..sorry i cant answer your question really..when topping up i dun care the quantity but more importantly i care more abt the $$$$$!! hahahah!!

sori dude! but maybe wat flykite said about the amount in the manual may be true!

oh cheers!!

i ride at max 100km/h..frm my hse to bugis everyday..and yet every 3 days hv to top up...my fuel comsumption like alot hor?

max 100km/hr...? from where to bugis? depending lah..if u stay at kallang den go to bugis at max 100km/hr den every 3 days have to top up den sumtink wrong lah..ur FC is high.. but den if u stay at Tuas den diff story lah..

but usually i try to avoid expressways..i prefer go on normal road cos much more faster and shorter distance depending on where u go..i stay at punggol and if i wan to go to clementi for example i would take normal road from punggol, upper serangoon road, lornie road, adam road, holland v, den clementi..which take around 20 mins the most..even in heavy traffic..if i take expressway from TPE to CTE den AYE i would take half an hour and and at a higher speed which is more consumption of petrol..

normal roads: shorter distance, lower speed and save petrol!

expressways: longer distance (sumtimes depending on situation), higher speed, more petrol consumption..

hope u guys get wat i mean!

cheers!

If piston jam ur bike cant move at all even after cool down.

Its piston seize in ur case.

Its not so easy to piston jam by e way.

Why four strokes when all you need is two?
