you want power, is like that.

big hole? got meh? the most is the modified exhaust only. you still can run a bigger carb with a stock exhaust (but modified stomach).

the things u did, well. big hole also right?

i really agree they make a difference in power (and in ignite's case, smoothness), but the power difference isnt THAT much you know...

(and i still think grounding on 2strokes are useless.)

i calculated the amount i spend on these mods and it cost ard 500 - 600. but i dun run the risk of being caught by rov.

500 to 600 is okay i think.. since a good design paintwork probably cost up to 700 lei..

i do think SP is a old bike liao.. wanna repair or mod, really need alot of $$, time and effort to look after..

i really hope in 5-10 years later, we still can see NSR150 SP on SG road..

lets not count in the hel brakehose.

i change a slightly bigger carb. i mod the exhaust chamber. i mod the endcan slightly. MAYBE put a pa2. would i get caught by rov? nah they'll prolly let me go.

i think it'll be more worthwhile than your mods. you dont touch the exhaust, you wont get much real power at all.

just imo.

oh yeah. i'd like to add, its not i never tried those mods you did before. heh. maybe to each his own, i dont feel that much of a difference except with the pa2 on a stroker. i still think grounding is useless. ignite doesnt make that much difference also (and its expensive ya?). you compare the difference from your mods and if you just change the carb, jet properly, its like heaven and earth.

keat: change EO yourself? siao ah.. u have to dispose it properly. pls be responsible to the environment. if ure really that lazy or budget to change it at bikeshop, DUN RIDE BIKE!

ravensp: ya, agreed u gotta touch exhaust to feel the power.

johndoe: even if ur valve opens at 5k rpm, as long as ur throttle control is good, u can hold the rpm at 7k wad. u mentioned not being able to cruise smoothly, 7k 6th gear is smooth enough for most of us. mayb u meant the jerking zone betwn 5k-6k+, that is definitely not smooth..

i kinda agree with you. everyone has different ways to mod.

but seriously speaking, happy or not, sometimes you needa weigh the differences.

slightly bigger carb vs a black box (take ignite/pa2 for example)

you put both on, both wont get caught. which is more expensive? im still not sure if the pa2/ignite (which are some sort of ignition booster?) will make a stroker run leaner (which obviously is not a good thing) or not. then, which one will you get more power out from? hmm its a big question huh..?

maybe if you put those 'black boxes', they'll make a difference if your bike is modded and running slightly rich, but its not gonna be that big a difference if you dont do other BASIC mods (like exhaust) to ur bike. its of course imo, but then wont that be very useless to 'mod' ur bike with these kinda stuff? i know alot of ppl are saying they are good stuff, i agree also if its on a 4stroke, but (i know im repeating myself).. for a 2stroker.......? even for a 4stroker, u'll need to change the exhaust to get noticable power out of ur bike.

im treating this as a debate actually, i hope you guys can voice ur opinions on it. everyone can learn :)

why dont you do these on a 4stroke instead?

maybe the PA2, but not ignite, not grounding and you definately dont need the spark plug cable. for a 2stroke, isnt it relatively useless if you put these?

for me, i'll go with a chamber (or a modified exhaust), a bigger carb (32-34mm), a empty original airbox and PROPER jettings. oh, and a sprox chain for my wants also.

no more sp outing liao lo, all the old birds all not riding sp already, oh well.

eug: u join me and sam for our mas ayu outings la

True loh, muz well do jetting, piston, spocket, air filter. Cheaper sia

revenge: how much are you willing to fork out for mods? lol.. give us a figure, then it'll be much easier for us to know what kind of mods can you do.

i am thinking of maybe $300$400? sum how i feel that my bike other den the opened stomach evrrything else is stock... so i am actually asking the advices of how maybe wat i can do to make it a faster bike (dun flame me, i am not wanting to make it into a class 2 bike, i know the limits of a 150cc bike but i wan to make it more powerful to my personal likings). i have heard tat the major differnce i can do is to modify the end can and change a bigger carb? is there anythings else which is significant? my mechanic told me tat power abuser is not much use in a 2 stroke bike. i wanna learn more abt the SP so hopefully u people may be able to help me? thanks!:cheer:

sori to interupt, but u dun need to change an exhaust jus to feel those 2 "black box" power lor, these 2 box dun haf anything to do with exhaust btw, they are mainly to help in ur electricity current. sure, u can change ur exhaust to chamber or whatever have u, but without good air supply, ur exhaust is as gd as a normal exhaust.

and quoted from my msg

(which are some sort of ignition booster?) electric current? yeah if you read my this line, you'll realise thats what i meant. and more current = ignition (to the spark plug) better. and when the ignition is better, if your settings are just slightly lean? it'll run even leaner.

and what happens when it runs very lean? tell me? yes you will FEEL as thou theres more power since the fuel will burn easier but if you dont jet it properly and run high rpm for long, seriously wont it be slightly dangerous for some who doesnt know shyt about their bikes and want 'power'?

dude. what im saying i feel its not worth it to put those on the bike if you dont do anything ELSE to it. the difference, yes its there. BUT if you dont do anything else (i must be getting old, like to repeat myself) its not THAT much a difference. but IF you do all the basic mods to it, yes i agree its a good addon to have.

and as of every post i make, its MY own opinion. please correct me if im wrong :>

and did you know, all the 2strokers stock exhaust, are quite heavily restricted? :/

SP no battery also can ride. probably shows how much electrical stuff there is on the bike.

those grounding, electrical boosters etc which so make your bike faster, more responsive is probably useless on a SP since it doesn't have much electrical currents flowing through it. but with class 2 bikes, they have a huge amounts of electrical items (EFI, TPS etc.. all the cheem cheem stuff). they would probably benefit more with those stuff and they can be put on a dyno to fine-tune those extra items.

two strokers' performance rely quite alot of it's exhaust system. you can certainly feel the difference with a cheap 80RM exhaust mod.

for a start, you can probably port your carb to a 30mm (not much difference actually), remove the stoppers from both your endcan and stomach, shorten your endcan (risky IMO cause without hearing, you can use your eyes to see and know that it's a modded endcan alr). top it off with proper jettings and you'll have pretty decent pickup alr. top end wise, play with sprocket settings. if you've deeper pockets, port the block and top head, mod your magnetic coil and buy a bigger carb (33mm - 37mm). proper carb jettings is very important for 2strokers. so without proper jettings, modding would just be a waste of money. and you risk piston seizure as well.
