eh guys. sorry about this but i recently got my license and the bike. First of all i thought it was correct for bikes to have 5 gears, excluding neutral, cuz bbdc's bikes had 5 gears. So i bought a SP, it had only 5 gears. Then i realized the box stated it has 6 gears. But i could kick until only 5. After 5th cannot kick any higher liaoz. Kick until orh cheh also cannot. I called my friends who ride SP and they say they have 6 gears. Can someone please enlighten me on this?

ur idling rpm at 800 may be low, u can tune it urself, e stock setting is 1.2....e knob is a golden colour kind of knob at ur right side, inside e small gap (below ur fuel tank)

 

u tune urself v easy 1, i tuned b4 too...then can save a trip down to bike shop liao

thanks bgoy, tmr morning i go and take a look. now too dark to see a thing. is that knob to control the fuel intake?

 

also, i know the choke is used to start a cold engine, but wat exactly does it do? does it increase fuel intake, or air intake?

SP confirm have 6 gears. try counting la. its easy to lose count, and often i find myself already at gear 6 and still want to kick higher (as though there was a 7 gear). or the other way is to kick up until u cannot kick then kick down. u must count 5 firm downshaft movements. that will mean u were in sixth gear. :goodluck:

wah brothers... becareful when riding.. today i go out 3 times.. 3 times i see TP... kanna booked for riding without headlight... 30 bucks...

 

but heng la.. actually he wanna charge me for no P plate.. but den in the end he charge me for never on headlight... damn heng loh i damn broke liao... lucky i wear like sch boi... becareful hor... dont speed dotn try anything funny.... dont wheelie at traffic light k.... :smile:

true... nowadays really alot TP and operation.. just now when returning hm got stopped by road block.. the police looked at me and asked me a stupid question:"u got license anot?" haha... was about to take out my license den he say its okie.. think he testing water see whether i can hear wad he say anot cos i was listening to my mp3... wahaha.. anyway i was lucky i didnt get caught for not displaying my rear P-plate.. got front no rear.. haha.. 2 more weeks P-plate can take off liao.. lucky didnt get fined for that :sweat:

i got a qns..if say i wan to buy sp from someone can i still get a bike loan from any bike shop? or onli when i buy from the shop then onli they give the loan??

anyone here changed your SP headlight to white light before?? i feel like changing cos yellow not bright de... but heard frenz saying it will blow easily... is it true anot? if true can last roughly how long??

dun give the fella a reason to fine u.... its bright enuff for sg road when u on high beam at nite... if u scared pple dont u noe there.. u rev from 9 to 11 den 11 to 9 nonstop... hahaha!!!

i saw the knob to turn the fuel already. is actually yellow color, got 5 "handles", look like star. turn which direction eh?
