Hi guys,

I am going to get a Class 2 bike soon. I will ride to Malaysia and Thailand either alone or with 2 or 3 friends.

Is there any good and reliable anti-theft devices or tips to share?

Thank you for your kind advices. :p

Are there other tips to look for if I wanna ride to North?

What's your ride? And it's basically being street smart...

How far is your "North"?

That's chain looking plastic not even safe if you go Malaysia. They can easily use lorry and pick up your motorcycle and move it . very easy and simple.

Silicon cement so they can't unscrew your nuts and bolts, chains, disc lock, throttle lock, alarms...but it won't make a difference if they can get your bike on the lorry so park where they can't move your bike easily up a lorry, other than that, you can try chaining 2,3, 5, 10 bikes together?

When traveling via Bike overseas... it's boils down to plain Common sense...

Prevention is always better than cure... IMHO, the above Anti_Theft devices are all deterrences...

Better to :

~ Dress Smart.

~ Act Humble.

~ Be alert to your surrounding.

~ Moving / Traveling in Group is better...

Many many factors come to play... Bottom line is ... Don't be a Traget...

To Me....

I'm going to get a Triumph Tiger 800 after I get my bonus. I going to travel to HatYai with 2 or 3 friends. I ever traveled to Hatyai before with a group of friends but that was more than 10 years ago. That time we paid the hotel security guard $ just to look after our bikes.

Get a pair audible disc lock alarm. Lock front disc and rear. It works on its own batteries so it won't drain the bike battery.

Always cover the bike with a good canvas and tie the bottom.

Always remove important and valuables (passport, money, keys) from the bike when u park.

Always park at well lit places in full view of hotel staff, passerbys etc. Arrange hotel staff to take care of the bikes and pay them some money.

Thieves may not necessarily go for your bike but also accessories. So dont flaunt those necessary blings.

think for some things you can get customized bolts and screws that can only be unscrewed with the tools it comes with or something? But it probably is just better to cement these up so you dont come back to find your tires missing and ****.

chains also damn important.

You could also get a gps tracker attached to your bike. so from a laptop or iphone you can locate it if its been stolen. not sure how much this is though

There is no full-proof theft device for bike. Precaution and luck play a part. Learn more during Police roadshow where they teach you on how to be safe from bike theft.

 Yamaha LC125, Yamaha TZR125, Sym GTS200

Hi Mao, hope you can help me,

I ordered online a GPS tracker, but totally confused on how to setup the item. They gave the instructions, as below, and I am totally confused,

1、 set the APN

Send: # 802 # APN # username # logon password # device password # # (device initial password is 0000)

Such as : Belgium: # 802 # web.pro.be # mobistar # mobistar # 0000 # #

2、Alarm number binding

To send a text message (# 711 # alarm number # equipment password # 1 # #), each device can set up 9 number, from 1-9 order set phone binding number (equipment initial password for 0000) For example:

#711#123456789#0000#1##

#711#987654321#0000#2##

3、SMS for equipment position

Use The main number to send 6660000 to the device ,it will return the device current location information and Google map links.

Use The main number to send 8880000 to the device ,it will return the current geographical Google map link

How to even setup this?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
