I intended to buy this bike as my second bike for daily transport.

Anyone who owns this bike got any comments on the bike's engine reliability,

performance (top speed, comfortable cruising speed)

fuel consumption and spare parts availability...etc...etc...?

Your comments is greatly appreciated.

Honda Nighthawk CB 250 is a very solid bike.If u just want to get from Point A to POint B,this is the prefect bike for u.Low fuel consumption and very solid engine. There are 2 version of the CB 250.Right now my dad is riding the old Japan version which has front n rear drum brake. The new version of CB 250 that is made in Brazil has front disc brake n rear drum brake.

Spare part vice,no problem in sg.But the spare is a bit expensive coz made in Japan, but the spare part can last very very long. But it a custom 250 bike, but expect a lot of power.Overall this bike is very good n ecomony. No complain.

Thanks for the info...

Btw, how much is the market price now?...say for a 5 year old good condition japanese made one..?

And what is the comfortable cruising speed of this bike?

Im riding the nighthawk now, jap version...obvious lol

ITs everthing as dr650 has mention...perhaps better.

My full tank can do more than 550 km...find me another bike that can do this? haha

Crusing speed comfortable is 90 to 100 km, top can do 110 to 120 km

Pick up is damn good... so good until I cannot tahan, so I down the gear ratio to 3 tooth smaller

Bike shop selling close to $3k - 3.3k for those with COE extended.

hi guys, i am sorry if i am three years late, but i have to mention that the Nighthawk 250 is nothing but a solid solid bike.

I have been riding one for the last 10 years and prior to that, my dad was using the same bike i have now for like 4 years making it 14 years old.

I started off with a japanese cb 250 and three years got it upgraded to a sport rim model from the brazilian model. It is surely a thoroughbred but an amazing bike lah..Please ask any questions on the bike. Afetr ten years, i think i should be able to answer anything or any questions on the bike.

cheers

Zac

There is no pain greater than not being able to ride a motorcycle....

There is no joy more worth mention when riding one,,,,,,,

Open to almost any year, and will pay according to condition and mileage. Must have a renewable COE and/or be renewed, which makes a difference in price. Don't want to restore one, want to ride it.

Thanks, and cheers.

u ride at what speed bro????? More than 600kms on a tank???? I have been riding it awefully long now bro. ALmost ten years and my bikes in pristine condition engine wise. I usually ride at 120kmph maintained. never could have hit 600km. Only running in time, i can hit 450 before reserve.

Just got myself a Nighthawk 250...:) anyone knows what is the standard size of the front and rear sprockets of the bike? I feel that the engine got a bit stressed when I cruise ard 80kmh. Can I up the front sprocket by 1 tooth and down the rear sprocket by 2 tooth? Will it affect the pickup and fuel consumption? Any shop to recommend doing this mod?
