Difficulty kicking to gear 1 (wr2)

hi guys

 

anyone ever encountered putting ur gear to neutral at the traffic light and then afterwards unable to kick down to gear 1?

 

had to off engine and kickstart my bike again

 

any possible reasons for tat?

 

just serviced carb, change eo top up coolant and 2T few days ago

 

all help is appreciated

bro, if cannot move on gear 1. move off at gear two. Ur clutch plate may have worn out and need to be change bro.

yeapz... used to have that problem too... changed the clutch plates and it works fine... but ex sia... wahhaha

yo. i sometimes have this prob with my XL200.

usually what i do is rev a bit, pull and release the clutch a bit and then it kicks down fine....

don't know abt a more permanent solution though. most likely it's a prob with the clutch plates but i haven't taken my bike apart to check...

Could be ur clutch plates, clutch basket or ur gear box. does the bike vibrate alot when u releasing clutch? if it does could b ur clutch basket. clutch plates of course expensive arnd $100+ coz WR200 uses 7 clutch plates. if 1 plate cost $20, 7 plates cost $140, this haven't include labour lei.
