Trucks buses Lorries on right lane?

truck driver are also try to earn a decent living. they are also pin down with time limited like most of us do.

 

Yes, there are the black sheet in truck driver (similar to taxi driver and car diver and biker).

 

But let be honest, a truck full load of good is most likely going to travel at 50km or less. they are keeping in the left lane. an empty truck is staying behind it, and he over take the slow moving truck. but then again, he see many slow moving vehicle. he is now in 2nd lane and is traveling at 80-90km/h. he need to find a space and move to the left lane. his speed reduce to 50km/h.

 

we all as road user should be considrate. should put ourself in the opps person shoe. 自己所不愉，不要用在别人身上！

I totally agree with you that truck driver are earning a decent living, but remember that some heavy vehicles are not allowed to travel on expressway the driver themselves knows very well. Y series with cargoes are ok but X series are only limit to container traffic W series out of bound. Nowadays you can spot vehicles like concrete mixer, triaxle trailer carrying conventional cargoes (steel beams and others) cars transporter, Low bed trailer. Recently we have read in the press a trailer driver died when his cargoes ram into his cabin and caused a nine hour traffic jam. I think the Traffic Police should be looking into this issuse.

Like I have posted in other discussion, I am fine with Truck drivers or buses using Lane1 (extreme right) provided they are within their speed limit and the speed is similar to the lane's speed.

 

 

If u talk about Truck drivers have the need to earn a living and hence higher speed is acceptable, then I would like you to figure this out:

 

- When a heavy vehicle travels at 70km/h and bang into the back of the car half it's speed (35km/h), what is the chances of survival of the driver?

 

Probably 50% surviving chances considering other events like banging into the side or front of cars/sidewalls

 

- When a heavy vehicle travels at 100km/h and bang into the back of the car travelling at 50km/h, what would be the chances of survival?

 

- Last scenario... imagine a heavy vehicle traveling at the speed mentioned above and hit a biker..... Just imagine further....

 

 

Due to the structure of the heavy vehicle and the engine power it has, the amount of damaged is unthinkable.....
