Hi all, it has finally come to this point in time when i have to say good bye to my beloved Yamaha R15 after it has just served me for the past 2 years! (Yes, the bike has just turned 2 years old)

BIKE HAS JUST WENT FOR HD GLASS COATING GROOMING! IT LOOKS BRAND NEW TILL I AM HAVING SECOND THOUGHTS OF SELLING IF I FAIL MY CLASS 2 TP!

 

Just had servicing today and changed a few usual wear and tear parts! Bike will definitely last you for the next 2 years just like how it did for me!

Bike Make: Yamaha R15 (Black)

Number of Owners: ME and ONLY ME!

Mileage: 21000+++

 

Engine Oil changed every 2500km plus minus and is fully synthetic since day 1 (even at the 3x 800km intervals of running in.)

 

Petrol: V-Power or Esso 8800 when there is no Shell station urgently available nearby.

 

Fuel Consumption: 42+-km/L

 

Nice Bidded number that let me strike 4D 3 times in 2012 that came with the bike will be given to the owner (even though i would really love to keep it.)

 

Bike is completely stock.

A mechanic from my polytechnic once told me that stock bikes are the best as the engineers designed it in the way that it would be the best experience without burning a hole in your pocket!

 

Stuff that i've added to my bike that i felt was important:

SPY 5000m 2-way alarm ($130 from Hodaka Motoworld with receipt)

Voltmeter ($25 from Chai Fatt Motors)

B.S.C Bike seat protector ($70 from bro jimmyvfr)

 

Basically the alarm was a deterrence to potential thefts of my bike parts, it can even feedback to you whenever somebody accidentally bump into your bike or is at your bike for extended period of time.

 

Voltmeter is essential to any bike to help you monitor your battery life.

 

B.S.C Bike seat protector was installed to protect my seat from potential cat scratches and also from the HOT HOT SUN. (http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php/359873-lt-CMO-gt-B.S.C-Bike-Seat-Condom/page10)

 

 

 

Wear and Tear parts that i have changed:

Brake pads

Battery

Spark Plug

Air Filter

Oil Filter

Chain and Spocket.

 

Basically i will send in my bike for servicing at Chai Fatt every 3 months to keep it healthy and not incur huge major repair bills.

 

My bike has been my mode of transport from home to school to girlfriend house and home.

 

It has never LEFT SINGAPORE grounds before, it has also never been on to track and has never had a stationary fall or any form of accident.

 

Bike is normally wash and waxed every 3 weeks and covered with my bike cover.

 

Reasons for selling: UPGRADING TO CLASS 2! :P:P

 

This bike has served me well over the course of 2 years when i was paying my installments back then.

 

Bike now is FULLY PAID

 

Road tax has just been renewed for 1 year till Jan 2014.

 

Insurance for me if you're wondering is $390 for third party with 15% NCD from NTUC.

I bought the bike for 8472 excluding insurance.

Selling Price: 5700 (NEGO) for a sporty looking bike with such good fuel consumption, considerably low mileage and low maintenance cost. That was why it is the bike that i decided to stick with for 2 years after getting my Class 2b.

Anyway doesn't take a rich man to ride Ducatis, Japanese premium bikes costs almost as much with the conti brands, less the premium equipments like Ohlins shocks brembo brakes, electronics etc, if you compare the value behind the bikes, European makes are now more worth it to own, also has higer resale value.

 

I'm not rich anyway... I just know how to grab a good deal...
