Ok..i just did change Shinko tire at $130 front and rear..

guys anyone here have do top overhaul? Can i know what they did they do and change?

Valve clearence, timing chain,gasket,coolent,engine oil??is that correct or there is more?

 

Im thingking to sent send my bike for top overhaul as the symtoms are..

difficult to start, idling is not normal.. when riding slow felt the bike wanna die .. tempreture goes up at 2 bar and 3month need to refill water at coolent..

 

I did overhaul before... Changed many things.

My purpose of having a bike nw is mainly for transportation frm hm to wrk, juz wanna get a bike for a short term b4 I can upgrade to 2A, n oso hope to get a bike wif less maintenance.

Hi Wildgreenrocket,

 

Congratulations on your 2B passing. I am not too sure about WR200. But GTS200 is a very easy to operate scooter with low operating cost. If you keep everything at stock condition.

 

Handling this bike is easy as you just need only both your hands, left and righ to operate the bike. Body only need to rest on the seat with posture almost like sitting on a comfortable dining chair. So left hand is to operate both rear and frint brakes and the right for throttle and front brakes mainly. So not much things to worry like changing gears etc.

 

Good for a beginner getting use to road conditions. No much worries.

just curious, is there any possibility to buy or duplicate the GPR Exhaust Silencer for scooter SYM GTS 200. where can i get it ?

 

my exhaust silencer fly out and run over by a car.

 

if you have the silencer and the end cap, can i borrow for duplication ? or you can rent to me for duplication :-)

Well it depends on how long you want to ride the bike. Getting a resale from Bike shop will be very ex. You can check on this forum or either the garage section.

By the way, which part of Singapore are you staying?

My bike having this problem when starting it.. very difficult to start..

bike shop told me carburator at fault.. then other bikeshop told me it need to overhaul..

but last it just the carburator needle damage.. changing it $90..

Parts $70 & labour..

 

but i guess parts ia way cheaper in Malaysia...

if u guys have any spare left side mirror do let me know..

Mind sharing which workshop you went to resolved this?

While the job itself might be easy and DIY-able,getting to the answer might have been an issue.

A lot of the bike related jobs are simple IF you know how to and have the tools and space-hence the big IF.

So no point saying it's a job he could have done himself if he didn't know what the issue was in the first place.

Gpan..now my bike easy to start but now the idling keep running up and down..i do it diy adjusting but after few minutes it rpm will go down below 1k..if i adjust it high, after few minuts ride ot will shoot up near 3k ..even i adjust it around 1.5k till 2k rpm..

anyone have an idea of the correct setting for air/fuel ratio on gts200? saw somewhere online the correct way should be turning the screw clockwise till slight tightness then counter clockwise 1.5 - 2 turns.

I did go most bikeshop...they all say bike carb problem..need to buy new carb..and told me need to do overhaul..

but luckily i ask my mechanic that been doing my 2stroke bike advise me that he need to check the diagnose the problem..luckily never kena chop.. he found out the needle is damage..so change it ..bike is ok but now it difficult to idling even u set the rpm..he told me the auto choke is the problem.. i have checked for the auto choke is at $75 at WEDA parts..

i trying to settle the bike slowly lah.. once diagnose all the problem then i can overhaul the engine..thinking to use it till COE end..

Try to shake your rear master brake. If you can shake it then there is the noise coming from
