Need help and advise for repossessed bike.

I'm the guarantor of a motorbike for my younger brother.

He defaulted the instalment and the bike was repossessed Dec 2022, I did not realise that as we're not staying together, the finance company also did not contact me on the repossession. I only realised the situation around 4-5 months after the repossession, so I contacted the company and arranged a "reconstructed plan" last year April, to pay for the remaining payment of $18k for the bike. I've been making the payment on time every month for 1 year, there is $14k remaining to pay for at this point of time. 

As I've been saving up, I actually have enough cash on hand to pay up the amount fully. However, when I contact the company to check if the bike can be name under me instead of my brother after I make the full payment, the person in charge told me the bike is not redeemable at all. Not even after I clear off the debt. 

She told me the bike belongs to the company now, but I still got to make the full payment. I'm now making payment for the "contract", not the bike. 

I'm very confused and stressed now. Really need some advise if this is the case for repossessed bike. I mean, it really sound very unreasonable to me. Will also appreciate if someone can recommend some lawyers that I can seek legal advise to.

It can be done with some help.  Dont worry too much on this. not worth your stress.
