Means they haven't release slot yet I supposed.

i don't mind if the classes are few if they allow us to book RTT while waiting for our classes. but we can't even do that. so every time we miss theory class and can't book a new one in the same week or within a week, we delay the whole process by weeks or months.

It was raining heavily prior to the session. Then the rain subsided.

First lesson. Face the wall, half crutch training.. Manage to go the rounds at the bike area. Go up to gear 3.. Yeah.. Hopefully. Next lesson can pass.. This Saturday..

Btw. Luckily I brought my own rain coat. Heard about the smelly story of their rain coat

got my ebrake chop last night but still need one more round for plank. this is called karma - i was so confident i would pass plank easily that i didn't bother to 'research' it before i went for my first lesson - now after 3 lessons, still not doing it well enough. if no plank, and just a line on the road, i think no problem. can't get out of the psychological block! buts its ok lah. i consider it 'revision' so by the time i get it right, i probably no need to revise for the test. hahahaha.

last night there was one time when i queed at ebrake station for ten minutes. dammit. also in the slippery conditions, two or 3 riders actually dropped their bikes when slipping off the plank. i'm surprised no mishaps at the ebrake, quite slippery last night.

A quick question - Any of you guys here who's currently working shift? For those working shifts, how do you all normally plan out when to go and book for your Pracs? since you don't know when your next off day is? And that, the next thing you know, the new slots are already out.

Posted

i'm not on shift, but i guess the safest way is to book 2 or 3 slots and cancel accordingly once your work schedule is out. only problem with this is that once you exceed your 18 free cancellations, it will cost you 5 bucks for each cancellation thereafter.

when i got there for the last session the rain had pretty much stopped, but the course was wet and you could see puddles of water on the plank which was a bit scary. and the tags were wet so got my cloths a little damp (partly sweat also lah. lol) half cluth - important. good to practice that. so next lesson you will get to go out on the main course. go up to gear 5, learn how to shift down. you're on your way!

Because, to me I find it a bit hard to book since I do not know when my off days are, and here I am still stuck at Prac 1 only, till today.

Hi all, long time no see. Just got back from holiday!

Rijac, you have developed the same plank phobia I had when I was learning it for the first time. Here's a technique you might find useful:

1) Accelerate towards the plank

2) As your front tyre touches the plank, clutch in and allow ur bike to roll up the plank

3) When your bike is fully on the plank, begin gently tapping and releasing your rear brake intermittently at 1 second intervals... Timing is earned on the first half of the plank.

4) As your bike slows from the tap-braking towards the middle of the plank, accelerate and move off to prevent falling off and clocking an Immediate Failure

5) With this technique, you don't even really need to half-clutch at all

This should give u a 6 second timing. Enough to earn ur chop and pass 2B. This is a cheat-code technique I used in 2B. Unfortunately, it doesn't work when you need 8-10 seconds on the plank for ur later licenses - new tricks will be required then, but you can pick those up on the road! This trick is useful if you're stuck in a slump and stuck on the plank like I was. I took 4 lessons to pass the plank. It's very normal actually!
