How long does it take to make the PDL?

My circuit orientation is on a Saturday afternoon and I think the TP counter closes at 12.30pm?

I was thinking of going earlier before my first practical and make on the spot?

Can or not?

Depend on the instructor. If they are nice, the will let you go earlier so that you can go do ur pdl. Just remember that you need to bring ur nets to make payment.

Yes I bought a Vespa at $4.1k very good deal. Previous owner was a nice guy.

Wah, you all so good. Bought bikes already.

I can only dream about bikes this year. Need to concentrate on getting this 2B licence first.

Maybe Jan or Feb, only then can seriously start looking for bikes for sale.

@Metalskin, I shall be seeking your advice on Vespas.

You need to have time and you need to be patient.

Time taken at the counter to take eye test, pay, print your PDL, quite fast.

Waiting time for your turn, takes forever sometimes...

Circuit orientation on Saturday afternoon, def can't get it on Sat itself. Must come back another day.

If you come at 4ish pm, on a weekday, you may even have to wait till 6pm for your turn. Happened to me.

you can't apply pdl without the circuit orientation chop. but the insturctor might chop at the beginning as you go make pdl then only start the lesson.

you are refering to model of what?

you can buy but cannot insure or renew roadtax for yourself. need to put on layup. but if you got a subsidiary rider you can buy and insure as a non rider but must have a subsidiary rider who has license and insurance also. then no need to lay up.

what model is that ? where you all shop for deals? havent get 2b can buy?

Dasboi congrats. thats very fast! first try?

yeah a bit troublesome. especially on where to park it for the duration of lay up. need to get permission and letter of authorization if its not in a workshop. for HDB must buy 1 year season parking. but, in my case, it was a good deal and i only have a few months to wait not a whole year so i thought i'd grab it.

you got a rs 125, thats like the most ideal 2 stroker.

For me quite difficult... get here must get someone to park privately because I am usually outstationed but I really cannot pass on a good deal and I must try a two stroker someday before they are all gone.

and if I were to get one motorcycle in china, the freaking number plate is about 15k sing and another city 8k. but the touring with it is really nice. I really need my license......

some ppl (@timewalker) would disagree with you! lol

Yeah first try. Really lucky i guess. Only had one other person in my group and he made a few glaring mistakes. I'm guessing compared to him my technique and road skills were much better, giving me the passing grade. I had booked 3 lessons with the final one to coincide with my rtt so it would have been a seamless transition. But now i gotta wait. At least its not too long.

krr, nsr sp150, tzm... take your pick... lol i still think rs125 is the best of the lot lah.. but having never ridden any of them (apart from the rs round of the carpark) and just basing on reading... who am i to judge...

i too never ride before but think its good, just worried spares expensive. So considering that, when I buy a 2T would probably be a krr150 . but I like the nsr look better. TA 150 is another one. Ever rode pillion on a pgm 250. very uncomfortable.

Parts will cost more, u will need to use better quality 2t and service more regularly. But that's the price u pay to ride something special.

You guys will get valuable, first-hand advices on 2strokers soon enough. Krr are definitely an ideal one; noone here had gotten it though. I've got a TZM150, which most people had said being a problematic bike and 'motor saket'(always ill bike). Also, there's rijac with his RS125, where most people say expensive and all. There's also the all-famous NSR150 SPs by JrCherish and darkredmica. In a matter of months where we pass our 2b(in exception of JrCherish), with no biased views, we will enlighten those that are of doubt for these 2stroke sportbikes.

I had always believed in 'You get what you want'. If you don't like what you get, let's say you get the popular kupchye Spark 135, then a TZM/NSR/KRR/RS125 rides beside you, your heart would feel uneasy, thinking that that's the bike you always wanted, but you're stuck with a Spark whereby you got it due to peer pressure and bad reviews.

As of now, I know my TZM is of a fairly bad shape, but I am going to be responsible in taking care of everything to get it back to good health, because

1. I love how this bike looks, feels and how it just got my head turning everytime I saw it on the road

2. TZMs are very rare on the road.

My advice is go get what you want. People recommend you get this, get that, you go first hand see and feel the bike.

AND BE REALISTIC. If you are a student like me who works part time earning less than 500 a mth, don't go for an Yamaha R125 for 12k or Aprilia RS125 (06 onwards) for like 6k.

I may be young, but I'm just sharing my opinion. Peace!
