Ya...agree that spec 3 shouldn't have the problem set in so fast bro ...

maybe you should just wash the disc clean and see how

Wat the senior bikers...those in the 70's to 80's era adviced me is to actually make maore grooves on the brake pads before installing them...like zig zag pattern...

this will make braking more effective cos it clears away dusts easily which may also help to reduce the noise.

As for disc grinding, i've checked with alot of shops....mostly charge ard $40-$45 per disc. My shop at yew tee charges $35/disc. Some even offered to replace with a spare one to use first, when the discs are ready a day or two later, they'll swap the discs back.

bro, no offence but if making zig zag patterns do help, y din these brake pads manufacturers realise it after so many years? we all know that before a product is pushed out to end-users, it's tested over again for it's effectiveness and efficiency ..jus like snell, that approves the helmets...and all these tests are revolutional, supposedly to come up with better products all the time........so why are the brake pads still the same after all these years?

a question for all of us to ponder.

Well, a question everyone wud think abt after being told abt this, its normal. But some wud believe it some won't and some wud just try it out. Some just seeks many2 diff answers and confuse themselves.

But i cud share my reasons which may be worth less than 2 cents;

Think... stock exhaust system sold with super4s, why Japanese Manfctrr sells Super4 with those exhaust system instead of Yoshi or Micron full systems?. Bcos the price wud be higher, so they chose the system with best perfomance in the least cost section or the least cost in the best perfomance section (R they diff?)

So brake pads are sold with 2-3 grooves instead of zig zag ones to get the best performance at the lowest price.

Maybe we cud also ponder abt why bikes, being small are fixed with horns that sounds like my farts, shdnt they be fixed with louder horns since they're small in size, the sound makes it more 'visible' to drivers.

No offence bro.....

I'm just relaying advices from people who played on tracks when I was still figuring how to walk.

Hi Bro's,

My brake squeeking really reduced alot just by wiping the discs thoroughly for a few days (using water and normal cloth) and braking hard a few times during riding,...hehehe

Weird ways but it worked for me.

Another way...fix ear plugs before u put on the helmet...hehehe..Highly Not recommended.

hi ppl wondering if u guys can help me figure out this prob i'm facing

i ride a vtec 2 and i just changed my front brakes but i have this weird squeek sound when i brake either hard or soft.. any idea why? i asked the bike shop n they seem not to know n they say its fine...

bro, i think some brake pads does produce some grinding sound after installing...

i was told by Unity that some brands of brake pads will produce grinding sound and its normal. i forgotten if i was told its EBC brand. you might need to go ask around...

my 2 cents knowledge...

most common cause of the squeeky sound from the brakes is the accumulation of brake dust on the brake disc. even if we clear the brake dust, after riding a few times, the sound will come back again...

others can b worn off brake pads or brake disc warp...

i oso have this prob, wat i do is just live with it...

hey guys i finally found out what it was that was causing the squeeks in my bike n its that the prev owner put the left side disc brake on the right side, it was also very badly 'scratched' so to say.. i got an aftermarket 1 from hkl and now the sounds are gone.. so if have the prob that i faced.. check ur disc brake and see if the arrow indicated is correct and if there is bad ware n tear on it.. disc grinding is another option... also could be the wheel bearings.. so do get it checked n rectify it.. cheers
