hi all,

i've been reading up Traffic Police publications (too many) and LTA guidelines.

Question: will i violate any law if i use WHITE (or any other colour) of tires for my

bike other than black?

appreciate feedback.

a new direction, a new inspiration

been wanting to ask the question too... i have seen those coloured tyres on bikes magazine before.. But is there any shop selling....??But after some tinking, if use coloured tyres oso the middle part oso got turn black due to the dirt on rd mah... :cheeky:

if gt other colour u want to use meh? dirty uber fast .. then bike cleaning must wash tire oso liao ... n ibelieve the coloured tires more ex .. so if demand low i dun think shops will carry many sizes ... nt to mention the so many diff types of tires ..

last time coloured tyre was hot in SG..

but most ppl using the tyre skidded..

coloured tyres = lesser friction

true, coloured tires do not last as well or perform as well as black tires.

rubber is originally white, carbon was added to make black tires for durability.

at the rate i ride, skidding is not a problem. it's not entirely meant for road use, but

more for decor of my bike, for aftersales perhaps. then again, it's nice to have

matching tires to the bike aesthetics.

silverstein, you sound like an old timer, perhaps you would know...

my question still stands: is it allowed legally on the roads?
