Hi everyone I some help from you guys on brake pads! Yesterday I went to have my bike brake pads change to ebc double H and after change on my way back home I feel something different. When I apply brake at the speed of 60+km/h I feel that the front is vibrating n I jus apply the brake lightly. As for low speed this problem does not occurs. So my question is that is it normal for new brake pads to behave like this? Or is it something have to do with front forked?

you might need to check to see if the brake pad or brake disc..vibration from braking usually occurs when either one has warped.

Sometimes this problem goes away after you bed in the brake pads (i.e. season it). Just ride for another 1 or 2 weeks and see if the problem is still there. However if the vibration is quite strong, then it could be your brake disc(s) has warped, the brake pads not installed properly in place (check the pad pins and pad springs), or some other reasons that you should get your mechanic to check for you.

You should also check your steering cone as well, since the vibration comes from the front of the bike and you are not entirely sure if it's got something to do with your new brake pads.

Brake pads don't warp, they only get stuck if u don't service your brake calipers and flush your brake fluids... And brake pads should be changed together with the brake discs as a set to optimize the contact patch of the pad and disc to brake more efficiently. If the discs are still usable, change the pads and let them season by constant braking, hard and soft. After awhile, 1-2 weeks, if the problem persists, flush your brake fluid and service your calipers to lessen the jerking. Might be air pockets in your brake fluid hose.

I got issue too. When I push my bike, got 1 metal sound rubbing each other. Using braking. Last time use EBC no issue at all. Checked with mech, they said my disc warp. But still usable.

Yup, brake disc warp is common issue... Warp because of hard braking..

if your disc is warped, bike off the ground, spin wheel with hand, the caliper will move

front vibrating after pad change is caused by improper bedding, take out the pads and file the sides at a 45 deg angle

that would speed up bedding and eliminate sounds if any

looking for drz parts, any parts will do!

Jus now went to push my bike slowly n the front wheel turn smoothly but there is a portion have the feeling of the wheel is stuck n have to use a little more strength to push so does that consider dis wrap?

Yup, it's warped, but still can use it... Unless you're willing to spend another $120 for a new brake disc that will warp sooner or later... Get what I mean?

I see but if I carry on using will there be any danger??

No danger la. Just the extra sound where the brake disc rubs against the brake pads... Sching, sching, sching... That's all... Warp abit it's ok to use it. Warp a lot, change new one... How to tell warp abit or warp a lot, the sound... Warp abit will sound like the sching up there... Warp a lot will sound like schhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... Then time to change new brake disc...
