Hi all..

Can anyone out there advise me on the front/rear tyre PRESSURE for Cbr4? Check a few bike spec on net.. But they only tell the SIZE for the tyre.. Yawnz..

And if possible, when u guys go petrol station pump ur tyre, can tell me the PSI that u set on the machine?

Thanks all..

this is a standard guide on how much air pressure should be pump.

u can find 'cold max pressure' printed on the tyre wall (side).

cold mean tyre have not warm up yet (5 mins ride to the nearest air pump).

do not pump air into tyre after a long ride or more than 10 mins, it will give false air pressure (hot air expand).

do not pump >100% cold max pressure, it will cause more stress on tyre due to hot air expansion.

different tyre brands have different cold max pressure due to tyre construction.

pump 80% of cold max for front tyre.

pump 90% of cold max for rear tyre.

example:

if it has cold max 36 psi printed on front tyre, then 36 * 0.8 = 29 psi (+-1).

if it has cold max 36 psi printed on rear tyre, then 36 * 0.9 = 32 psi (+-1).

The manual says 33psi front and back...

manual is based on oem tyres, use the recommendation if u still with oem tyres.

other brands, follow the 80% front / 90% rear printed 'cold max' air pressure.
