Thanks for the explanations. I guess until now I'd only considered the LED type - either with or without the acrylic hoops. Would even consider an LED strip if the LEDs were close together and bright enough to hide the 'breaks' from a distance.

I like the shape of the FZ1's headlights (like a rounded rectangle instead of a perfect circle), and I'd like the angel eyes to follow this shape. More unique and distinctive than round ones, IMO.

Yeah, too much danger of screwing up and having to get a new pair of headlights. I guess this is true for the other variants as well, cos they all go inside the headlamp casing. But it's something I'm really very keen on... would like to explore a bit.

hey bro, if u like the contour of fz1 headlights and dun like the round round kind we call it the angel's eye, how about getting the devil's eye?

the devil's eye takes the contour of the headlight unlike to angel's eye, which is a round hoop...

try ask your buddy, mr google... "fz1 devil's eye" or "bike devil's eye"...

cheers!

i prefer angel eyes, but yeah, we can look into it together. i know someone who can help to do the angel eyes, probably do it well also. but definitely not cheap and not sure how long does it take.

Can someone advice me on diy-ing coolant change for fz6?

Is it the standard procedure: Remove coolant drain nut - Open Radiator cap - Coolant flow out - Flush / Pour new coolant

Anything else to take note?

And do we top up coolant via the coolant 'spare tank' ie the one with min / max level.

Thanks

what's your vocation? dun worry too much, 1st ict should be (generally ah) low key unless you are in commando.. they mainly focus on ippt, ifc, firing. 5 days.. short 1. at least that's for my case. posted/attached to infantry unit.

Make sure u suck out the old coolant from the reservoir tank also. Top up with new coolant in radiator and spare tank. Quite troublesome if u dun have the right tools to suck the old coolant out form the spare tank. Why not go to bikeshop and let them do it and price wise a few dollars more only.

The bikeshop drained out my OEM coolant from the radiator and spare tank. Flush it with plenty of tape water and on the engine to let the tape water circulate in the cooling system and after about 5 to 10 min, drained the tape water out again. Lastly, top up with 1 bottle of New Maxima coolaide coolant in the radiator and spare tank. Total damage everthing cost $20/- only!!!!

Check the condition of your radiator cap too and replace it if worn out.cheers.
