Im not really sure of the history. Shop only says previous owner used it for riding up north. But anyway it is under warranty so I'll just bring back to the shop and get it fix by them. Will it cause any damage if left untouched?

I need some advise here.

I hear a hollow rattling sound during movement. I tried to rav the throttle at stationary position and it sound perfectly normal. So can only conclude what I hear is only during moving. My chains are well lubricated and no visual of loose or damage parts.

Then what can it be?

sounds like u got a rattling snake on ur bike! lol..

anyway, it's kinda hard for people to fully understand what is your sound and where it comes from.. maybe if someone who had experienced before that will know.. else, suggest u go bike shop check it out and/or go out with some fazer riders that u know or ask ur riding frns.. to see & hear in person is much efficient than writting cus no matter how a great writer is, he is unable to 100% translate out his "seen feel hear do" into words.. hahaha..

Hi, lwkjason,

Pichudot is very correct. You may need to replace your timing chain / tensioner.

The ticking sound is likely to be cause by either or both of these (timing chain / tensioner).

Go get your trusted mechanic to check on it and change it/them. If you do not have a trusted mechanic, contact me, I can bring you to my mechanic at Ubi Road 1.

Anyway, not very expensive to change them including the gasket.

It will be very expensive, if you leave them as they are and not change them and the timing chain snaps and break into pieces inside its location. I can only say God bless you if it snaps into pieces inside while you are riding.

No worries. You are most welcome.

I trust my "lamb" with Alex from MotorFactor at Blk 3007, Ubi Road 1.

But everybody has their own trusted mechanic.

So you may wish to stick to one whom you trusted or if not, I can always bring you to Alex for a "diagnosis" on your bike. :)

wahahahaha... I never really notice leh.

I didn't even realise there is a Planet Motors there.

hahahaha...

I only know that directly on the left side of his shop is M1 Motoring.

Think he is renting the front half of a unit from M1 Motoring, if I am not wrong. There is an uncle mechanic operating at the back half of the shop.

Thanks for the feedback. At least it is not any major issue (for now) that we commonly face. Thinking positively, I could have chance to escape heafty repair cost. But any vehicle that produce extra sound should not be normal. Looks like I can only share the sound on 1st June ride safe event.
