Hi, fellow Fazer riders,

 

I am about to change my tyres soon.

 

May I ask your opinion about Sportec M3 tyres?

 

I am only using them for daily riding in SG from home to work and vice versa, so my intention is just to change to an average range of tyres and not those high-end tyres.

 

So would like to seek your opinion on M3. Though I know each person has their own perferences of tyres.

 

Please do not flame me, as I am not an expert in tyres. :)

u newbie.. dun bluff ppl la.. u old touring bird lo.. :p

 

i heard from my friends talking abt it that day but i didn't really go digest it cus i dun need a new set of tires.. lol.. try checking out Unique or bikeworkz or planet..

 

i not sure about M2 or M3 or M5.. so far i tried PR2, PR3 & Z8 nia (excluding the lousy stock tires).. lol.. most likely i'll try GT the next set.. :D

PR2 is a sport touring tyre whereas M3 is a sport tyre. Sporting touring tyre warm up faster than sport tyre and give better mileage than sport tyre.

anyway I wouldnt consider M3 sports tyre. To me, pirelli dragon sc, diablo sc (probably rosso corsa), michellin power one, metzeler k2, dunlop alpha 10, Bridgestone R10, these tyres are sports tyres. :angel: dragon sc is my favourite. i think i am on my 3rd set already, hope they dont stop producing it, at the same time dont increase price also. :cheeky:

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

Used this tyre previously before...but stop using since production is not made in germany anymore. Just my personal preference only anyway.

Welcome. For touring I think I used bt021 last time, not bad. Quite lasting. But that was when I was riding s4.

Sure. Will try to after I change this Saturday and get used to the new rubber.

 

But please do not expect comments/feedback like "...the grip is lousy when entering the corner, but the grip gets better when exiting the corner.", cos old man doesn't play corner or "brush leg-pegs against the tarma"...
