hey guys..

i got this problem here.

that is on everytime i start my bike, it seems that i must open the throttle and maintain the rpm at abt 1.5 to 2k for like 8 to 10 mins as if i dun do so, the engine will just die off itself and i gotta start it agn. and also if i dun, it will not have power in accelerating and eventually it will die off halfway while at traffic junction.

is this due to that i gotta go get my carb serviced?

thank u people

hmmm... sound like u need to adjust ur idling...? like my idling, is about 1.2 when start from cold engine, so i will need to warm up the bike(for me, have a ciggie..) then slowly the idling will be about 1.4 when the engine is warm up... carb serviced..... i have never done it, and not sure what it is about...

I think i saw one on the road the other day at woodlands. Looks DAMN good.

Might be considering this bike, but looking at a RW for now.

Get the 250cc version? Price diff is very small and slightly more power, just nice for SG roads.

I think u can read through some of the past pages.. then u have a better understanding of comet and roadwin.. I also never ride a roadwin before so unable to give any comments..

1) comet maintenance not so high loh.. unless u sway sway get one that everythin also spoilt..

2) F/C for me is about 26~33.. mostly with pillion(I am heavy.. :) ), mixture of city and expressway riding.

3) Last 5 years no problem la...

4) The problem face by chawanmushi is not a big issue.. so far, didnt really hear of any big issues... is more of neglectable stuff...

oh ya.. is the comet good for pillion?

Good... seat is comfy.. EVentually its still ur choice... follow ur heart... (as long as it dun break ur wallet.)

Cheers

depends on yr personal liking..

comet is a feel of riding a 2b super4 while phantom is like more to those chopper kind of feel. both weight would be the same too.

comet is vtwin engine.

maintenance wise, i seriously dunno how is it like for phantom but comet is a breeze.

so it all boils down to each of their liking.. ROAD BIKE OR CHOPPER BIKE?? =)
