i need to ask u guys on top speed.. for the gt125

 

the max speed is how one

 

engine redline or not enough power?

 

coz the gt250r also uses 5 speed transmission but can hit 170-180kph

 

so i need to know whether if the engine for the 125 issint powerful enough, or gear ratio is too close..

this is from my experience, the highest top speed i can reach is

120-125kmh, but it started to vibrate like hell,

Not enough power it think?

er let me explain clearer..

 

when you reach *max speed*, you are probably at gear 5.

 

does the tach at that instant, shows almost hitting red line? or its stuck at 5k+ and dosent seem to go higher?

 

but correct me if i am wrong, if you say engine begins vibrate, that probably means the engine is probably somewhere near redline...

on that revvving thing, wat i did is that u dont hav to totally revv it, just take it slow, wat i mean is accelerate pelan2, dont totally revv....

 

on expressway, yap sooooo comfortable... so hw do u find it

 

slow acceleration. last time i accelerate slow like that, tapi all the cars behind me mcm tailgating.. cannot take it anymore, now at traffic light, i just wack.. hee..

if u r looking for bikes tat can go very fast.

always look for bikes with lots of horsepower.

 

speedometer always read error of >10%,

the higher the speed the more reading error.

 

eg.

stock 4-strokes engine capacities with approximate horsepowers (+-):

125cc=10~14hp

200cc=16~20hp

250cc=22~26hp

400cc=32~56hp

600cc=50~100hp

800cc=80~120hp

1000cc=100~180hp

need speed, upgrade your license n ride >1000cc bikes.

no point stressing a small cc bikes' engine n it struggling to make >120kph.

small cc bikes is for the joy of ride, not for speeding.

ACCIDENT!!!

Actually, today is back to my riding after 1 mnth recovery from a broken feet,

but the surprising thing is that my bike is 99.9% ok, the 0.01% is

just my no. plate a little bend, a car hit me from behind n luckly comet tyre is big so it hit em n crushes my left feet, tanx god.... uhhh:sweat:

About the footrest, try to find it 4 u, can chect it on garage sales too...

Fun to ride comet back..... Yeahhhhh.........

if u want, change to rxz head..? i think thats what its call? the looks isnt that bad... but do keep the original header... in future wanna sell can change back loh.. but brighter anot is another issue....

FZ **** but dont know is it still there.... "new- looking condtion", i cant decide...... for me its ok.....

niway, my cousin say something about changing air filter for faster acceleration.. say roadwin and comet is well known the acceleration damn slow.. (he riding roadwin)

Changing d air filter is possible, not sure about the acceleration part.. like what stsoh suggest in his earlier posting, the only aftermarket a.filter is BMC.. not cheap.. I guess i am already used to the slower than others acceleration..

I did little bit of mods to the roadwin.. front spocket bigger, smaller main jet, leaner jet needle, knn air filter, etc..

Overall quite satisfied with its performance already. But of cos fuel comsumption increased by a bit...

so how the f/c like for roadwin? cos for a 125cc 4 stroke comet, i would say the f/c isnt that good.. or maybe its me...
