The last time I ask was around SGD10K +/- 500 not sure about the current price.

seems like the price is really rubbery.

I think the market has not really found equilibrium for this series yet.

I was quoted prices between $9k to $12k although in different countries.

been wearing my sub for almost ten years already and still cannot bear to find a replacement for it.

The black face Daytona is cool, however i find it too messy in terms of design. and i dont like the chrome steel on the bracelet. i still prefer brushed metal.

Also contemplated the AP Royal Oak but scared, i'm too rough for the watch as i wear it for everything and anything.

So in the end, i have been saving money....:cheer:

any recommendations? Not keen on Tags, Omegas, etc...

I agree with you, the heat should be over now but the price is still floating around.

throttle> ok I was wrong, my bad Lass ... but I just cant recalled where I seen that sub increased price.. maybe I seen it at a watch shop in Chinatown , their price tag shows 7.8k.. where u can find 6.9k sub? Sincere?

I guess the additional few hundreds also due to thicker glass and more steel in the construction keke as its made to go further depth...

no worries perhaps u might hv spotted a limited edition one or something

i would be real shocked if the price has indeed shot up to $7k++

Last time they gave the reason that the CHF strengthened so they have to up the price. I can accept that. But what is the reason for increasing the prices now?

Now, many places selling Submariner with Date. Displayed at the window.

Last time, you can never find it displayed at the window becos they will keep it and say "no stock".

I bot my Rolexes from Watch Palace at Lucky Plaza. They stock the most complete models of Rolex. Price offered was $6.9k sometime middle of 2005.

Price was only $5.9k in 2004.

yupss Lucky Plaza will be a better place to get ur Rolex than Sincere, Hour Glass....

unless u wanna pay by installments,

otherwise, go to Lucky.

But one phrase they'd always say...

Rolex prices are coming up soon... better to buy now...

Personal preference of a neat simple looking watch..

feel that Rolex Cellini Classic collection really suit this criteria..

but... alittle steep and will still have to stick to an Oyster Perpetual..

this is another neat braclet I'd like to add to my collection...

buy a watch by instalments?

No lah. dont do that for luxury items.

Can afford then buy, cannot afford then forget it.

So what if wear Rolex but pocket empty?

Singaporeans already leveraging on too many things.

Furniture and electronics also want to pay instalments.

Unless necessary, dont, otherwise you will find yourself in a deep hole of debt.

Pricing depends on the model, color, condition etc......

i guess many ppl do fall into tat trap and personally i do not like the feeling of being indebt.

yes, u can pay by installments...

But I think if I'm not wrong, interest free... hmmm...

Hour Glass, Sincere I think should have..

cos my fren bought for her bf a Breitling watch for his bday then was asked if she wanted to pay via 12 months anot..

I do not support living on credit but it'd be fine if u leave the whole sum of money in the bank and let them deduct thru giro every month if its interest free.

But then I'd rather not be bothered by a loan.(typical Singaporean)

Rolex if u buy second hand, better to have it checked at the agent. Pay just a fee of I think $100+ to check the internal parts.

I think its Rolex Lady that u are looking for..

Its also a Oyster Perpetual model I guess..

Thottle>> Guess they just increased it for nothing.. I tot our currency picking up... or its still weak against swiss francs...

Yah , I heard something back was 5.8k, the price raise was only recently and cheaper by 1k if u go to the country of origin to get it...

I tried sea on at Dickson yesterday, seems like my tiny wrist is too small for the big face.. My whole wrist is just the face and nothing else . must put on more meat before I get it.. :giddy:

yes ,I agreed with Throttle get it in full cash else dun get it.

No point getting it and slog it.

But paying by installment is a typical singaporean way of lifestyle.. We slog throught all our lifes paying for HDB/Condo, CAR. NBZ, seems like all your life is just working for these 2 items...

marvy>> thats a patek dude, and it spells expensive..

1 more nice brand is Panerai. :lovestruck:
