i've checked with the agent for tissot, they say its pretty hard to have a gd discount as their prices r fixed but they did mention tht most shops will give discount for watches they r older. so in your case, if i'm not wrg the T-Touch a 1 or 2 r old only, might e quite difficult lor.

anyway, side track a bit, i do remember someone in tis forum wants to sell away his T-Touch a couple of months ago, maybe u might wanna search? no harm trying

Thanks bro. I've found a shop in Bras Basah Complex who gives good discount.

Maybe I will buy from them.

I also remember someone selling an orange T-touch but I prefer the titanium strap one.

Thanks again.

how gd is the discount? not more than 30% i suppose.

I didn't want to get it immediately, so I didn't really bargain with them.

Last time I used to buy my watches from them and I can tell you that they do give 30% or more. It will depend on whether you are a regular customer or not.

Yup. That's true.

So am I correct to say that theres not much value in Tag Heuer watches, even for the high end models?

By the way, how much did you pay for your Cosmograph? Is it with the El Primero Movement?

Vintage Heuers may have more value.

Current Tags dont have much value, unfortunately, somewhat like current Omegas.

My Daytona is a D series 2006 model. It runs an in-house Rolex movement.

El Primero Daytonas are the older ones. I think Rolex stopped using El Primero in the late 90s. About S$18k.

Hmm... 18k is a lot of $ for a watch, considering that I am just a normal salaried worker.

Bro, where did you purchase your Cosmograph? What do you think of Dickson Watch? And do you actually service you sub or other rolex every 5 years?

I'm aLso a normal salaried employee.......80% of us are.

I got it from Watch Palace again. They are the best stocked in terms of Rolex in the whole of Singapore. Dickson quote me $19k and $18.5k. For Rolex in Singapore, I always buy from Watch Palace.

Frankly i've never serviced my Sub before. It runs beatifully without hitch and is very durable as i am quite rough. I use my Sub and Explorer for all activities. Tennis, Golf, Travelling, riding, sleeping etc....

I wear the Daytona daily to work but not for sports. The Sub and Explorer I wear at home (one a day) so that they actually never stop running.

In this way all my 3 Rolexes dont stop running unless I travel overseas. heh heh

no money to buy Winder Box

Very easy Paithorn.

I wear the Daytona everyday to work (power reserve is 72 hours)

So the Daytona will always keep moving even if I dont wear it during weekends.

When i come home from work, I switch to my Submariner/Explorer for normal rough wear. The power reserve is 45hrs so as long as i wear them on alternate days, both the sub and the explorer will also keep moving.

That's how....hehhehehehe

well, i'm assuming if they gave u more than 30% then it might be old model or they trying to sell it off cause if they can give more than 30% for your T-Touch then they really lugi already since its pretty new.

jus my 2 cents worth. cant tell u y i assume like tis cause internet got a lot of pple watching, i dnt wanna reveal too much

Hmm.. Where's watch palace, bro?

Was quoted quite a high prices for the sports model Rolex at Hour glass as compare to Dickson.

Would it be ok for the sub to be left untouched for a month or so without wearing it? We dont have to keep it going, rite?

By the way, I think 1 shop at Funan is selling some small winders for 1 or 2 watches.
