me in F&B so shift work, me fastest is 200km/h but then cruising speed is 150km/h to 160km/h ..... and i am still the slowest rider with them .... 280km/h is really a impressive mark on a Naked bike and 2 guys have done it before .. hell Roger have done 240km/h on his X, but then it takes awhile to get use lah ... in Sillypore not even close to 160km/h so thats y once in awhile go up 160km/h seems pretty fast and afriad out of control or no reaction time. I remembered the same feeling on my first trip up north .... but take it from me ... will get use to it lah .. haha ....

Is your X a weekend bike or daily commuting bike? :)

Asked this Q in another thread in the main forum but no answers... Hope some bros here can help me....

I have always love the bubbly X11 and I found a fully stock one for sale at workshop but need some advice.

Bike details

FX plate 9xxx, Black. Obviously skidded before as the right muffler got scratches. Some other small scratches on the right main frame and couple of small ones here and there. No major damage noted though.

Bike looks bit run down but at least it is stock. (On a flipside, being stock can also means the ex-owner didnt take care of her ). Workshop will do the necessary check and 'restoration' like tyre change and servicing plus change of worn parts.

Asking price is $6K. But out from riding circle for quite a long time and hope to get some good advice from fellow bikees...

Well from what i understand, X11 production start yr2000 and end 2002 cos sales wasnt good then. So year 2000 is FS plate, so i believe the previous owner retain the old plate. Most X should still have COE of 2 years left, and i believe $6k is still a good buy but of cos recession time mus tbargain lah :) $ hard to earn :) most shop will throw in a fresh coat of paint to entice you to buy so make full use of it and squeeze them dry :) (tats what i will do) and after that please try the bike also like alignment, clutch sound(common) FI blinks and stuffs like that ... then after that, enjoy your beastie ride :)

p/s where did you see the bike? which shop? and this bike still packs a mean punch as compare to other naked bike so go easy first (if you havent been riding for awhile) ... have a clip that proves that a X can hit 0-100km/h in 2.4secs which is pretty good like a sports bike :)

Thanks for the advice! :thumb: Will be heading down to take a 2nd look this evening. But kinda scary to know tat the bike might be only 2 yrs worth of COE left. I know it ain't fair to compare a X11 with other mainstream bikes, but for maybe 1 grand+ more I can lay my hands on a Frazer, AT or Varerado etc with more 'life' left.:dot:

Nonetheless, should I decide on this, I will definitely squeeze out some freebies after all the wornout parts are replaced like fresh splash of paint, sliders, new horns (current ones on the bike are fugly) etc...:p

Workshop is Looi's. I had been with Mr Lee since he was operating from 1/2 a shophouse space in Yishun till the entire building in Kaki Bukit. Surprised that he still remembers me when I popped in last week. :cheeky:

Ahh ... Looi's ... ever the reputable one ... i also have good experience with them from my previous bike :)

Well, toeach their own. i can understand your concern about the COE, and basically most of us aint that fancy with the Fazer/AT/ Vara :) if you ask me personally, go for the B-King, lol ...... i like muscle bike to streetfighter :) Anyway its what you want @ the end of the day ba, this is a rare bike that that despite its bulky mass, can still put a fight with the current sports bike, easy on maintenience cos its a Honda, and also will catch attention when you are running down the streets hahaha ...

let me know if you dunwan, cos i may have a friend that wans hahaha .. cheers :)

p/s, just for your reference, 4 yrs back, me and another rider got the X for $10.5k and $9k respectively. Yr 2000, new bike was think $25K .. pretty X ya haha ... and there is only one rider who got it new and ride it til now ... name is Vicious .... :)

Haahahahaa.... Ya, Mucscle over Streetfighter... :cheeky:

Im a moto-lover and like all sorts of 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers. thats why i have riden sports bike to choppers to scramblers to scooters.... Now left with muscle, street and tourers. Even for cars I went from hatchbacks to saloons to coupes to SUVs.... Dats why im always broke. :faint:

Went Loois yday. they are touching up the badly scratched exhaust muffler. The bike looks ok overall but the surface condition for both sprayable and nonsprayable parts are quite bad. I reckon the ex-owner just parked in under rain and shine. :(

If I (or anyone for that matter) is to get this, really must do a thorough check and change some components. I suspect the clutchplates, sprockets, chains, pads etc must be checked/changed.

Woa ... sprayable and NON SPRAYABLE ... meaning chasis? sound pretty bang up but then if Looi's agrees toa spray no problem .. our Philip had Albert spray all Matte Black including chasis and meters ... so its up to Looi's now ... Parts are the more important ones, clutchplates, sprockets, chains, pads etc those are the more crucial ones but given Looi's, i believe there are like 1 or 3 months warrenty ....

So there you have it, homework done, just sign the papers and enjoy the ride :) let us know if you do get the bike so we can all ride together like the Magnificent 7 down the sunset hahahaha

Cheeers bro :)

Hope to sell her to a person that really appreciate n price is right. I m not posting it in garage sale, not urgent as i rather keep it.

It doesn't matter how good your bike is, but how long you can ride it

Performance doesn't lie on the bike, it boost when the ego broke!!

It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile...winning's winning..

Hi vicious...

Your timing couldnt be any better than this! Hahahhaaa....

Your bike has yet to renew COE? Do let me know how much you are willing to part with your monster as I'm rather hesistant on getting the one at Looi's as I couldnt afford the time to follow up on the restoration.

Timing just tat i happened to dropby to this X11 asylum, been silence way too long.

Well, COE is to be maximised till the end. I think renewing now, just a waste of another 10 years, cutting its 1yrs+ less. COE expire 2010 Dec.

Its really hard to quote here, nuthin below 6.5K in condition-wise, maybe u wld like to view if u really serious. Few things to discuss whether it worth selling cos i knew the bike inside out, then talking bout xfer shld i exclude.

actually, depends on if you mean street legal or street legal IN S'pore.

there are many street legal cans for our X11.. like

BOS

Viper

IXIL

GPR

Quill

Delkevic

Scorpion

etc

but for SG only, I only know of Micron

Not sure about GPR & Laser.
